It's a large one, although I would say it's not that large really. I'm a size 12, and it probably fits me quite well.

I'm happy to post it to the first person to comment that they'd like it on the thread 🙂.

Why don't you want it? Also, no one on here will give out their address to a poster with no posting history even if they did want it.

LaughingPriest · 02/01/2023 22:40

You'd presumably need a name and address...

TheSameThingWeDoEveryDay · 02/01/2023 22:41

Oh, I hadn't exactly thought of that.

I don't want it because I'm not particularly brave in a wearing political t-shirts to M&S kind of way 😄.

Bollocks 😄

I'll take it :)

Nothingandnowhere · 02/01/2023 23:06

How did you acquire it if you don't want to wear it?

TheSameThingWeDoEveryDay · 02/01/2023 23:10

Well, I planned to be braver obvs!

OP posts:
Nothingandnowhere · 02/01/2023 23:18

I'd wear it. You'll make someone's day

TheSameThingWeDoEveryDay · 02/01/2023 23:28

I was trying to do that with my post on here 😄🙈.

I name changed because I feel a bit paranoid about even posting in FWR now, but that then made other posters (justifiably) suspicious of me.

If I were you I’d keep it. Wear it for bed, around the house or even outside with a jumper or sweatshirt over it. You may not feel confident enough to show it off just yet but who knows going forward. One day you may meet a group of women all wearing one and think this is the time - however without it you will never know.

MargaritaPie · 03/01/2023 00:09

I'll take it

Once you've worn it to go to Aldi or Tesco it gets easier. I've worn mine to the GP and to walk around my town. The best place to feel confident to wear it is at one of the Let Women Speak events!
I can't find the dates but I know Glasgow is weekend of 4/5th Feb 2023. Hyde Park, London is every last Sunday of the month.

I have a couple of beautiful Birdy Rose t shirts that are less obvious but I am still a bit wary about wearing them too blatantly - I did wear the No Thank You one when I went to The mess we're in live show!!! And birdy Rose was there!!!!

And at the show, Graham Linehan had some tee shirts which just had TWAW on them, he threw them into the audience - I got one and I wear it to bed.

RewildingAmbridge · 03/01/2023 00:31

I have one that says
my pronouns are sex based, like my oppression.

I wear it as pyjamas mainly but sometimes under a jumper at work (Contractually I am not allowed to be political 🙄).
One day I'll wear it to Tesco

Oooh, I got one for Christmas and live near Glasgow so will definitely wear it to the LWS event.
I'm planning on wearing it out of my small town, not brave enough for that yet.

DogsAkimbo · 03/01/2023 00:48

Says something though, doesn’t it, that it’s a brave statement to wear a tshirt with just that on it. I wonder if they might end up as museum pieces one day, if global warming doesn’t get us first! We should definitely put one in a time capsule!

FrangipaniBlue · 03/01/2023 00:55

When I was on holiday in the US recently I saw a girl wearing a t-shirt with "he who hath no uterus hath no opinion. Fallopians 20:22"

I almost tapped her on the shoulder and gave her a fist bump 😂

Boiledbeetle · 03/01/2023 07:24

I used to have a fantastic t shirt with "some people are gay get over it t shirt". What happened Stonewall? What happened??? Now it would read " we trans away the gay get used to it"

But yeah OP. Keep yours wear it even if it only whilst your doing the diy as a reminder of the fight.

teawamutu · 03/01/2023 08:22

I felt the same - my AHF hoodie sat in the cupboard for weeks before I was brave enough to venture out in it.

I was genuinely scared, but the only thing that happened was I was warm in a nice hoodie.

The only reaction I've ever had is people (women) saying they love it.

And I have quite the collection of grumpy feminist clothing now. I make a point of wearing them because, as a PP said, when you're scared of wearing a fucking JUMPER, things are bad. Not having it.

rabbitwoman · 03/01/2023 08:23

I have just realised I got the slogan on Glinner's t shirt wrong.

It didn't say TWAW, it said TWAM!!

of course. But notice how indoctrinated even I am to spout TWAW....
