Of course, it’s still nonsensical because race is not actually a biological characteristic in the way gender is. And the requirement for single sex provision is driven by completely different things than the racism that drove apartheid. The particularities most definitely matter.

That’s why you don’t go about making these kind of comparisons. It’s as stupid and unhelpful as comparing to the nazis.

Always makes me so angry when people use this false equivalence in any way. It’s all part of the outrageous reversal that’s at the heart of “trans rights” activism: pretending that somehow women are the class with power and some male people are the class they are oppressing.

If there had been a real equivalence in apartheid era SA to the current situation in Scotland (and elsewhere), it would have been giving some white people under apartheid further rights and privileges while taking away even more from black people. We need to be really clear about what’s going on here, just how egregious this lie is.

And it’s all enabled by the invented axis of “cis/trans”, the basis they use to justify awarding male people even more special privileges and power over female people. “Cis/trans” obscures the real power axis of male/female and force teams some male people in with female people, making them supposedly not just as vulnerable and marginalised as we genuinely still are, but actually more so, a supposedly disadvantaged minority of “women”.

From where you end up with truly shocking distortions of the truth like this one.

We have to challenge this lie at every available opportunity. It’s never about people being “trans”. Virtually all the issues here are about biologically MALE people, members of the already (eternally) dominant sex class invading the territory and taking away the rights of biologically FEMALE people. TRAs and allies painting us as the aggressor and those male people as the aggressed against is just one almighty DARVO.

Promoting gender identity ideology and positioning GII as taking precedence over biological sex is itself an inherently abusive act on the part of a group of biologically male people towards biologically female people as a class.

This is outright abuse and it has to be framed as such, and met and dealt with as such.
