So all I can basically get from this is that she thinks it's hate speech.

My response to her is that I think she's an idiot.

In this podcast episode, they discuss what's happening in this generation re understanding of Karl Popper's ' Intolerance of Tolerance' which is often referred to. I think it explains where Lucy and others are coming from pretty well.
I believe Sasha White (podcast creator) is herself a young GC feminist. I am enjoying listening to the next generation of feminists (real feminists). Gives me some hope!

Penises and vaginas aren’t figments of the imagination. But to argue that the difference between the two sexes is based solely on biology dangerously neglects the distinction between sex and gender.

That makes absolutely no sense. She's saying that the two sexes are different and that sex and gender are distinct. How can she claim that biology has nowt to do with it?

I conclude that she's a fucking idiot. Sorry.

Lucy is indeed a fucking idiot, and a handmaiden. I despise privileged women like her giving away rights she doesn’t think she’ll ever need to rely on - Lucy doesn’t imagine she’ll ever be locked up with double rapist “Islagh” Bryson.

Honestly don't give a shiny shit what Lucy thinks. Really doesn't deserve the oxygen of any more publicity

DeanVolecapeAKAelderberry · 31/01/2023 19:45

You all seem sure Lucy is 'she' - has Lucy been seen anywhere except in this article? There are very silly male people as well.

It’s hilariously paternalistic. I’ll decide what sort of information you should be exposed to. I’m creating a safe space by shielding you from nasty, different perspectives.

University campuses are most definitely not a place for debating concepts like rights or exploring what is done with those concepts in the world. Nope. They’re not places where students might be exposed to ideas they aren’t comfortable with. Can’t risk exposing them to arguments that might shift their opinions in any way.
