What a terrible person she is:

Just wondering how the trans activists are going to spin this to make it all about them. I expect they'll find a way.

And this one

rhowton · 18/12/2022 17:25

How dare she?! Bloody TERF giving money to charity. Honestly, can she stoop any lower... 😂

littlbrowndog · 18/12/2022 17:25

With the right resources and support, we can end the institutionalisation of children globally by 2050. We cannot achieve this alone. The support of our donors, campaigners and friends is vital, so we want to make sure that we operate an efficient and effective organisation, directing our donors’ money where it is most needed. This is where our 100% pledge comes in.

In 2008, our inspirational founder and President, J.K. Rowling, gave Lumos the gift of the rights to her book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, and the charity has already received over £18m in income as a result. This money is being directed to cover Lumos’ core running costs – including administration, fundraising and office costs. Thanks to the generous support of J.K. Rowling and others, 100% of the money you give to Lumos will go directly to work protecting children around the world and not to any overhead or administrative costs.

THE FOLLOWING EXCLUDED CORE RUNNING COSTS WILL BE COVERED BY OUR 100% PLEDGE
Fundraising and administration costs
Governance costs
Rent, service charges and utilities
Business rates and insurance
Utilities such as electricity, postage and carriage
Telephone and fax
Cleaning and office stationery services and expenses
IT services
Bank charges
Recruitment, HR costs, audit, payroll and accountancy fees

JKR is SUCH a class act. They go low, she goes higher and higher, and not in the Elon Musk space rockets sense.

HermioneWeasley · 18/12/2022 17:44

When will this monster’s reign of terror end?

Jux · 18/12/2022 20:09

Really, this is whatt all highly paid people should be doing. I♥️ JKR because she has a social conscience, where most others are just 'me me me'. My (now deceased) sFIL was rude and selfish. He had so much money he didn't know what to do with it, and sometimes said exactly (it was true). Charity though? Not a chance. He barely managed to part with a few hundred each month for MIL.

Just when I thought I couldn't love her more. What a woman. My mum has MS. It's a terrible disease and has taken so much from her.

Best wishes to your mum serious! My husband has it too. It has almost destroyed him. JKR is my absolute hero! Love everything she writes. Then all her support for MS research! When she stood up for women’s rights my admiration just grew & grew!

melonraspberry · 18/12/2022 20:49

She does her research on everything doesn't she, this is a field that desperately needs funds, good for her. Love that woman.

MyCrumpetIsCold · 18/12/2022 20:54

For the love God, how can this woman get away with this EVIL behaviour?! She is actually the Anti-Christ isn’t she? Someone should cancel her immediately 🤯

AutisticLegoLover · 18/12/2022 20:55

I don't know how she sleeps at night 😁

FOJN · 18/12/2022 11:11

JKR walks the walk rather than just talks the talk. I bloody love her.

This. I have a major girl crush.

Igmum · 18/12/2022 21:35

JKR is wonderful ❤️

I did not know that, so wonderful of her.

My cousin was diagnoses with MS last year, still in her mid twenties, which was quite a shock to all of us.

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 18/12/2022 22:26

I have MS. At the moment it barely has an impact on my life, other than taking drugs daily. It feels a bit like a race against time. Very grateful to JKR.

BuckarooBanzai · 18/12/2022 22:39

I didn't think I could love her more, I was wrong! ❤️

stealtheatingtunnocks · 19/12/2022 03:25

Monstrous.

if it wasn’t raining and stupidly early and cold I’d be out there gathering twigs for a pyre.

as it is, I’ll just whine about her on social media.

look at that terrible woman, doing things for other people with her own money sh earned from her own talent.

shouldn’t be allowed

PrestonHood121 · 19/12/2022 04:04

She’s been donating massively to MS research for years. Lots of the advances in medication and treatment centers have happened as a direct result of her funding. Though the TRAs don’t like to make note of that.

Crouton19 · 19/12/2022 07:55

There has been quite a bit written about the link between levels of estrogen and testosterone and severity of MS. It seems testosterone might have a protective function in men. I wonder if any of the donation will go towards research on that.

JubileeTrifle · 18/12/2022 12:15

I love the Twitter comments where they are going to cancel her and make her poor.

They continually show how delusional and shitty they are.

Slothtoes · 19/12/2022 09:42

JKR is a total fucking goddess. I agree that she should be given the highest possible national honours as an absolutely sterling humanitarian in the face of threats and bullshit. These types of long term autoimmune conditions have a big link to oestrogen levels of the naturally occurring in cunty people kind and guess what not enough research has been done about that.
I actually don’t give a fuck what men, and those who centre men, think about this. Because they don’t have the female puberty, pregnancy or menopause affecting their MS or long Covid experience, their views and need for self validation are totally fucking irrelevant.
