Will the Scottish court ruling last week, that the meaning of ‘sex’ in the Equalities Act 2010 is not ‘biological’ or it would have said so in the act, mean that the sex-based exemptions in the EA - such as lavatories and refuges - will be open to transwomen in Scotland?

i think it's probably mostly but maybe not 100% unfair to characterise this as a personal thing between JKR and NS. I've always been a little mystified by NS's stance on this, one can't help but wonder whether she sees it as some kind of penance for other 'worthy' battles she thinks she could have fought but decided not to.
