Sam Brinton arrested again for stealing women's luggage

Joe Biden's former nuclear waste staffer has been pictured in a striking new mugshot after being arrested for stealing a woman's airport luggage.

Brinton was charged for the luggage theft earlier this year at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas that was captured on security footage.

They also face charges for luggage theft at Minneapolis airport. Brinton, who was appointed to their Department of Energy position in June, was fired on Monday.

The warrant revealed that Brinton had posted to Instagram on July 6, the same day of the theft.

'Thank you to @americannuclear for selling such a great shirt for me to wear on my flight today,' the post said.

'My professional society continues to grow and learn and I'm proud of them. Goodness how we have changed since my service as a chapter president and then on the National Board of Directors. #NuclearPride.'

The White House has repeatedly refused to comment on the scandal, claiming it is a non-political issue.

The Department of Energy has also tried to distance Biden from the issue. Brinton was appointed in June with much fanfare.

'Sam is also a well-known advocate for LGBTQ youth and helped to secure protections against the dangerous and discredited practice of conversion therapy in more than half of the country,' it said.

'They identify as gender-fluid and use the pronouns they, them, and theirs,' their bio reads.

On top of working in the Department of Energy, they also held seminars including a recent event on spanking. Brinton lives in Washington DC with their husband.

I lived in a village where the local odd job man stole womens underwear from clothes lines. The local policeman who lived in his road (it was a long time ago, 1990’s , we had real live policemen in rural villages) knew about and was very worried by him. Of course, nothing was done, maybe there was nothing to do, not even probation?

He eventually beat one of his neighbours to death when she was walking her dog by the river.

Sam dressed for court in a suit.

If I was investigating this case I'd look for CCTV of Sam before boarding, to see if Sam has been targeting women and not just choosing luggage at random.

That is a very confusing new clip, not sure when They refers to Brinton or Court officials.
Ditto the case they keep mentioning- suitcase or legal case!

I thought that about the OP -- initially read it as 'Joe Biden and Sam Brinton also face charges for luggage theft'

This where it would make sense to use the singular third person verb for one individual (they is, they faces) and the plural verb for more than one (theycare, they face).

German manages fine doing similar with "sie" as "she" and "they".

Katie Herzog and Jesse Singal covered Brinton (and his dubious gay conversion therapy claims) on their podcast Blocked and Reported (its towards the start of the episode): www.blockedandreported.org/p/episode-143-how-bidens-rogue-deputy
