Sexist twattery.

hallouminatus · 13/12/2022 07:24

Is there a new definition of "drop"?

Helleofabore · 13/12/2022 07:25

Fuckwittery

TeenDivided · 13/12/2022 07:32

By drops you mean 'provides' as in 'drops in' as opposed to the more commonly understood 'leaves out' or 'no longer uses?'

howmanybicycles · 13/12/2022 07:33

So most of us are now 'people formerly known as women' and not woman because most cunty types don't identify as women?

cosmiccosmos · 13/12/2022 07:35

Bloody ridiculous but at least they have done the same to the definition of man.

Frapped · 13/12/2022 07:37

The modern use of 'drops' in this situation proves why language is so important!

Jkrforever · 13/12/2022 07:39

I had thought the OP meant they had removed it, not added it.

what a joke.

Tontostitis · 13/12/2022 07:39

Disgusting

I misunderstood as well, I initially thought it meant they had ditched a new definition.

Is there a new definition of "drop"?

Doh of course. That is open to misinterpretation. I mean as in ‘put out’ online (like Netflix or drop box)

Come now, OP! Words have meanings Wink

Coconutmeg · 13/12/2022 07:42

It's a dictionary. It aims to reflect how language is used. People do use the word "woman" in that way. So they put it in the dictionary.

Only a tiny minority use it in that way

Ericaequites · 13/12/2022 07:58

What else would you expect from Cambridge when they can’t even list the cases for a Latin noun logically?

ChateauMargaux · 13/12/2022 07:59

'may have been said to have'.... dictionaries are supposed to be the source of clarity...

MilkshakesBringAllTheCoosToTheYard · 13/12/2022 08:01

That's not the Cambridge dictionary. The Cambridge dictionary would know that 'Mary' takes a capital M.

Francesgumm · 13/12/2022 08:01

I would conjecture that most people (99.99%) still use the word woman in the ‘adult human female’ meaning.
but then what do I know just being a middle aged adult human female myself ….

Scarydinosaurs · 13/12/2022 08:03

Is this real?? Mary isn’t even capitalised!

ArabellaScott · 13/12/2022 08:18

Where is this from, OP? Do you have a link?
