"Objections to trans patients on women’s hospital wards ‘like racism’" and complainants may need to be removed:

So in fact women who can't/won't provide services to men while ill enough to be admitted to hospital, or who cannot access mixed sex spaces, will be punished by exclusion from medical care.

Seriously?

Have this lot ever read their own diversity policy?

Sentimentaleducation · 12/12/2022 07:51

Shocking. They do say their policy is under review - have they realised it may be against the law?

Probably. Do they care? Probably not.

I've done shifts in this particular trust and the place is on fire, there are mixed sex bays in almost every ward, 7 people in 6 bed bays, people dotted around in corridors all over the hospital. There hospitals are far too small for the population so people are put where there is space for a bed. They can have any policy they want to waste time writing

BatCheeseIsFine · 12/12/2022 08:34

They really need to stop with the misleading headlines. As the article says, it is not objection to trans patients. It is objection to TW - males - in women’s wards. Not to trans people because they are trans. The headline, and the way this is constantly repeated, plays into this idea that women are being “anti-trans” because they don’t like trans people per se. That is not the issue. It is males that are being objected to in a context where that is totally reasonable.

lifeturnsonadime · 12/12/2022 08:38

This is the kind of policy that led directly to a woman being raped on a ward and then being told it's not possible, there was no man on the ward.

It's disgraceful. Women just don't matter. At all.

334bu · 12/12/2022 09:04

Not just Ayrshire and Arran, Greater Glasgow and Clyde's policy is the same.

That was sadly not an isolated case.

Baroness Nicholson has tweeted that evidence collection is in progress and she anticipates the number of cases to be between 50-100 women.

A female body count of 50-100 women, damaged in order to stroke the egos of the TQ+ political lobby, and to provide between 50-100 males the opportunity to get their rocks off while harming females.

Bring on the Women Harmed By TQ+ Politics Remembrance Day. The list of victims will be a lot longer than the TQ+ day of remembrance one is.

ArabellaScott · 12/12/2022 12:22

JFC, nils. That is stomach-turning.

lifeturnsonadime · 12/12/2022 13:20

Good grief. That's awful. And women like Sturgeon just don't care.

I was half way through reading that last post when it was deleted.
Why was it deleted, it's was fucking horrifying and women should know what is happening.

i'd also like to know what it said as i think it was in response to one of my earlier posts.

The bit that I read was about a male person masturbating on a ward and the complaining woman was told not to look, I didn't catch the rest @lifeturnsonadime

Did it relate to this incident of indecent exposure back in 2019? If I recall correctly four elderly women patients were scared and humiliated by a man self IDing as a woman, masturbating and exposing himself in front of them on a women's hospital ward.
Fascinating looking at the coverage with Gloria Hunniford criticised for daring to voice objections. And an object lesson that none of the useful idiots commenting considered the trauma and fear these women suffered - instead focusing on the rights of a male to sexually offend.

ArabellaScott · 12/12/2022 22:15

Christ, that Mail article is about that story?

Yet, for some reason, no mention of that, only discussion of what pronouns should be used to refer to the male masturbating and exposing himself?

Fucking hell.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 12/12/2022 22:26

All the press coverage seemed to be equally uncritical Arabella - completely ignoring the rights of the women while fawning over sex offending behaviour.
Presumably it was a time when the trans lobby groups had their fingers tightly round the necks of the press, pushing nodebate and "the most marginalised group ever" narrative with great success.
Thank heavens for a sceptical press - and the torrent of similar issues / criminal cases making it impossible to ignore what's been happening.

fifteenohfour · 12/12/2022 22:49

That was my post that was deleted, I thought it would be too much for the thread to be honest. It wasn't involving elderly patients, it was an acute mental health ward ages 18-65. It involved sexual behaviour from a transwoman and a female patient leaving the ward earlier than they should have as they were unwell. They were told to ignore it. I went on a rant in my post because of how helpless you are in the health service we have (legally) watching these situations unfold.

The treatment of women in mental health services is grim. On here, there are are a number of people with a vested interest in keeping the numerous assaults that happen for this reason in the NHS quiet. The irony is while they're so busy policing women on here, the press have gone full on terf and are finally accurately reporting all the safeguarding scandals, court cases, convictions etc. At last the public are starting to see the awful reality of what's happening to women and children - and they're speaking out. And the press aren't going to be silenced any longer.

Igmum · 13/12/2022 07:32

That's appalling. Of course you should be able to say that on here. Come on @MNHQ we need to call out sexual crimes whoever they are committed by

fifteenohfour · 13/12/2022 11:54

@MrsOvertonsWindow exactly there are few places now where you can have honest discourse about it. It's all censored, any attempt to pick apart the forced truths you are expected to swallow no questions ask are quashed and silenced. It's like what we are saying is lumped in with flat earthers and 5G conspiracies. Except our concerns are backed by research and statistics. It's just the TRA's shout louder and are listened too (because they are men)

Having the inquiry into mermaids was a great start and if they are dissolved then that's a massive triumph, not just for the safety of children but to stop the indoctrination because I 100% believe that's all that these 'gender affirming' therapies are.

Boiledbeetle · 12/12/2022 08:27

Probably. Do they care? Probably not.

They don't have to care. Who can women complain to when trans rights are involved?
Their MSP? Nicola Sturgeon? Lady Haldane? Nursing staff?
