Anybody see this? Started out giving the low key reactions the new HP game received at a recent awards ceremony then used the article as a platform to shoehorn in most of her essay.

I admit I was surprised by the plot twist. Nice to see more and more balanced articles starting to appear.

Omg can't wait for the game it looks amazing! I've asked for it as a preorder for Christmas and hoping it won't cause too much controversy among the woke in my family. My much younger brother has recently (Kind of) come out as bi and he's only 20 so in the thick of this.

We have a close family member who is non binary, bloody loves Harry potter though so is willing to overlook the completely sensible statements made by JK.

I don't actually know his feeling on the issue. lives in another country so don't know how deep he is where he is. His mental heath is delicate and as an older sibling iv'e been trying to act as a parental figure (as both his as crap) in term of life advice. Hes vulnerable to this stuff potentially but i dont want to alienate someone who already feels isolated. perhaps i should give him more credit though, certainly dont intend to stay silent on the matter if it comes up, just need to gentle with how i present it.

Can’t help thinking the gentlest way is to encourage him to actually read what JKR’s written. It’s a whole lot more supportive than most (TRA) commentators would have everyone believe!

Is the game playable on a switch? Wondering if the kids might enjoy it.

Iirc, JKR was smart enough to lay claim to royalties on HP merch, therefore, if at all possible and you are so inclined, I'd recommend showing her a bit of love and buy some HP lego for little ones ( or yourself ;-) ) that you're trying to find xmas pressies for.
