I agree, thank God for Miriam Cates. Other MPs are equally concerned and Keegan is hopeless.

This was a woeful performance. At times it felt like she hadn't been briefed, and at others it felt like she vaguely knew about about "be kind". She didn't even seem to know the Sept 2020 guidance, as this thread points out:

I realise the clip is long but it's worth watching. All Tories in it (I think) and none was impressed. Firth (?) really tried to pin down the date of the new guidance on "trans pupils", as well.

Wow, talk about being out of her depth. I noticed at one point early on she said (paraphrasing) this is really the Equalities remit. I only hope Kemi does some serious re-education.

This is pretty devastating. If the Education Secretary is in favour of gender ideology I don't know where we turn to next to get this out of schools.
