How trans rights rows are splitting the Greens

The Times have switched off commenting. The day before Ali's case is put to court.

Has a Green Party trans activist become a Times moderator?

They generally switch off comments during court cases due to the risk of contempt of court. I don't think there's anything more to it than that.

Recently they've turned off commenting many more articles than they used to. I noticed today there were a lot not accepting comments. Not sure quite what the criteria is but yes to court cases normally being switched off.
