Maybe that was too direct a way to ask. I’m trying to read between the lines. I’ll say I’m feeling encouraged, but any pointers would be gratefully received.

I knew it back in the day when it was full of gobby women having a lunchtime port in the pub in Heslington. Actual women.

I’m hoping for actual women and gobbiness. I can take or leave port. It’s a risky mid-life year out I am contemplating so I don’t want to waste time getting excited just to be disappointed. Just looking to gauge how substantial the open days are.

There are pronouns bearers at most universities. The bricky ones are the worst.

I’m not sure I’d call Sussex “bricky”, but maybe I’m taking you too literally or spreading the lesson too geographically wide.
