Please bear with me I could well be overreacting here.

I saw Jo Monck CBE on our ITV local news earlier this week. I’ve seen her on there a few times and never really had an issue with what she’s said. But this time, towards the end of the interview she asked viewers to be ‘allies’ of the trans community…

”"An ally is somebody who is aware of the discrimination and the things that affect the transgender community. They listen to their lived experiences and learn from them and then use their privilege to shout out against the types of discrimination and hate that the transgender community face, both in society and in the workplace, and empower themselves to support the community".

Maybe I’m reading more into this than I should but ‘shouting’ at Women to drown them out and prevent them discussing their concerns seems to be prevalent among Trans Community supporters. Personally I’d like to see some of the Trans Community become ‘allies’ of Women and help us to be heard and our concerns be respectfully discussed.
