They're also taking legal action against its creator

What I want to know is who the hell signed it off and why were the parents happy to let it go ahead?

I've included the images for anyone who hasn't seen them.

This is so utterly grim. But it feels like yet another step in normalising this kind of thing. And the sad thing is I don’t think many people care. It’s not covered on many media outlets. Revolting.

unname · 23/11/2022 13:07

Truly sick.

Not sure how to share tweets or if this works but someone shared another Balenciaga ad with very suspect artbooks prominently displayed in office setting.

TheKeatingFive · 23/11/2022 14:51

So they have form for this shit. Jesus 🤦‍♀️

MrsOvertonsWindow · 23/11/2022 14:54

That twitter thread is appalling.
It's evident that paedophiles are now confident enough to be out in the open and accepted by the terminally stupid.

It's all part of their 23 campaign. Hiding in plain sight.

Mass grooming

Ofnoteannightmares · 23/11/2022 16:10

I am actually disgusted that no serious media (The Times / Telegraph / Guardian / Spectator etc) have covered it or those with super high profiles Piers Morgan, Andrew Neil, Suzanne Moore, Hadley Freeman, Janice Turner etc have commented on it and drawn attention to how obscene it is, the fact it was deemed acceptable by a fashion house and how it is LITERALLY right there, in plain sight including an APOLOGY admitting to the implication! HOW DOES IT NOT HAVE PROPER NEWS COVERAGE??? Considering all the bullshit they actually cover! Bullshit to just offsetting the blame onto a single photographer - a huge team of people is involved in a high fashion ad campaign, and absolutely nothing is left to accident in a photograph like that. The amount of eyes on it before publishing would have been immense. I am so angry. And I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but honestly the all round silence where there should be all sides political outrage makes me question like nobodies business.

OmiOmy · 23/11/2022 16:33

I don't know the ins and outs of a fashion shoot but surely the styling team from the brand and the photographer and ad campaign team (in house?) work closely together for months before doing the actual shoot. They're creating a story and they knew exactly the look they would be going for.

So, I'm not sure Balenciaga can pin it on the photographer. Besides which, it's glaringly obvious, the brand went for this particular photographer precisely because he of his photo style.

OmiOmy · 23/11/2022 16:35

*because of his previous photographic style

nilsmousehammer · 23/11/2022 16:55

This is being pushed, and pushed, in the knowledge that it's now very fashionable to be 'sex positive' and other words from the paedophile manifesto (it's a real document, it explains how to soften up the public and normalise it all until it's legal and kids can be freely accessed). And that it's cool to gaslight and ignore, or do it and then go whoops, tee hee, with all the publicity etc having been achieved.

Rather like stripping women's rights, the righteous will say don't be prudish, stop pearl clutching, it's fine because x, it's ok because y, only right wing old people will care, and the aim is to fix this firmly as normal and untouchable.

We've been way too nice and patient and generous for way, way too long.

The main reason the liberal press has not mentioned it is because they do not want to be accused of homophobia. These types of activities/interests are all found in the TQ+ part of the rainbow coalition. The forced teaming of the LGB part was/is used to create a human shield composed of those with a sexual orientation (who have suffered discrimination and rightly require protection), being pushing in front of all those with a sexual paraphilia or perversion; people who would otherwise receive the vilification they deserve for pulling shit like this outside of the privacy of their own bedrooms amongst consenting adults.

MarshaBradyo · 23/11/2022 17:01

I’d like to see this from a criminal pov. If it’s sexualised imagery of children, maybe that would stop this happening again

Brokendaughter · 23/11/2022 17:26

Well, after seeing some of the stuff from Balenciaga, if I see anyone wearing that brand I'm going to assume they are either a pedo or a pedo apologist.

One of the links on here led me to a video which was apparently from Cartoon Network (not Balenciaga I don't think) which has actually made me feel really sick to my stomach & incredibly thankful my kids are past the age to watch that sort of channel.

It's a full time job giving children a chance to grow up even to reception age with some innocence intact nowadays.

But for me, from now on Balenciaga will always be a pro-pedo brand.

Nobody just happens to have copies of those sorts of court documents lying around on a fashion shoot by accident.
Nobody picks that photographer who takes that style of images by acccident.
Nobody designs that sick twisted product by accident.
Nobody approves that advert by accident.

That was Balenciaga, telling the world what they are.
This is not 'edgy', this is utterly depraved.

Bingo. You are 100% correct. It is insane but how to explain what is going on without appearing to be a tin foil hat lunatic.

deepwatersolo · 23/11/2022 18:27

You can’t expect anything from the fashion industry.
Many model agencies have been acting as conduits for super-rich guys to sexually exploit underage girls, many in their early teens.

Pornographic allusions in the context of young girls are a corner stone of the fashion industry‘s aesthetic, and I assume for this very reason.

These are pre schoolers though. I'm not saying sexualised teens are acceptable, but this is very different.

deepwatersolo · 23/11/2022 18:56

This is true, of course. I‘m just saying there is no awareness whatsoever in the industry.

The most shocking thing of ‚paedophilic imagery in plain sight‘ was actually in the art industry. E.g. the pictures of Biljana Djurdjevic are incredibly disturbing. They gained prominence during the ‚Pizzagate‘-madness, so it is hard to bring them up without being considered a nutter. But it is, frankly, hard for me to imagine that anyone without sadistic sexual fantasies would consider buying or displaying some of that art.

But apparently any sensitivity is missing in the art industry (to which I see fashion photography related) and it is all just an aesthetic expression of the freedom of art or something…

In the Telegraph but not archived yet:

BedTaker · 23/11/2022 22:11

Despite this being all over twitter, there has been fuck all about it from Owen Jones, Billy Bragg or anyone of their ilk.

And do you know why?

Because to condemn this would put them on the same side as the likes of Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens and Fox News.

And that would, apparently, be worse than child abuse and paedophilia.

nauticant · 23/11/2022 22:25

In other words, Rochdale Syndrome.

PicturesOfDogs · 23/11/2022 22:34

Clymene · 23/11/2022 10:21

There are leads and wine glasses on the tables in front of the little girls.

The photographer did a project with children with all their toys laid out around them and he's used the same style for this shoot: www.thisiscolossal.com/2018/06/toy-stories-gabriele-galimberti/
(I find these photos disturbing - you may not)

It was bad before, but seeing it in conjunction with these photos makes it so much worse/more obvious what the intention was.
Fucking vile

TheKeatingFive · 23/11/2022 23:11

Well they have a lot of explaining to do, hmm?
