They tried to punish one teen girl for complaining on social media about it by suspending her and forcing her to take “sensitivity training” aka forced brainwashing.

Appalling. Good to see that parents are speaking up to protect their daughters from males wishing to be present as they undress. This is not going to end well.

ButterflyBiscuit · 12/11/2022 20:43

Wow that's horrific. Coming soon to a school near you.

Yes it was honestly a relief for once to see parents taking a stand to the insanity instead of sitting quietly and watching it happen. So many are frozen with fear and who can blame them? But we need to be brave and stand together in the face of this ridiculousness and let others know that it’s okay to have boundaries. They are there for a reason. Young girls like this especially need to be protected. You may dress how you like but cannot change sex.

There's a real change happening here in the UK. The press have finally spotted all the sex offenders / the intrusion of men into women's sport / the irrational and unreasonable demands alongside coercive control and batshit demands and many are now in full on "terf' mode - especially as the systematic gaslighting of children has been exposed. It's becoming easier to speak out.

Igmum · 13/11/2022 07:53

They backed down. And great comment by the girl's father. Hope you're right Mrs Overton, it would be great if this ideology crumbled

Helleofabore · 13/11/2022 08:00

It would be great if all the safeguarding loopholes were closed again.

JacquelinePot · 13/11/2022 08:10

I'm pleased for the girl and her dad that they backed down. Is the policy allowing boys in girls' spaces is still in place?

KatMcBundleFace · 13/11/2022 08:30

I'm hoping this means they gave the dad his coaching job back.

Sparkletastic · 13/11/2022 08:35

Shame they had to bring their god into it.

Helleofabore · 13/11/2022 08:42

Sparkletastic

I hear you. But on the other hand this is an excellent demonstration that this impacts on a wide range of girls and women and that each and every one of them need to be protected.

KittenKong · 13/11/2022 09:29

So I hope they sue. And the dad who was hauled out of a school meeting when he complained that his daughter was raped by a lad who had been transferred from another school for doing the same but protected because of his special status.

TheaBrandt · 13/11/2022 09:33

Loving Blake’s dads work here.

TheaBrandt · 13/11/2022 09:35

Oddly seems almost always that’s it’s mothers championing their sons sex change - fathers of daughters need to wade in more for the other side..

I don't think the girl and her dad are spouting religious views- that's this publication's opinion thrown in. Totally annoying. I wish a non-biased news org would report this as it's a critical example of how Title IX's proposed changes are in conflict with its original intent to protect female sports.

There are two (possibly a third case) that have gone to court over this in both cases the father was removed by the courts from the child's life.

The cases followed the same path.
Parents spilt, child "decided" that they were a different gender, normally at the mother's home and were fine at the fathers.
Mother pushed for social transitioning.
father went to court etc.

Two are Canadian
The one I am not sure about one is from Texas USA.

Unfortunately in many cases its only the religious that are prepared t stand against this.

NotBadConsidering · 13/11/2022 10:24

Shame that all the atheist journalists/news media deem it fit to ignore a male violating the privacy of girls.

aweegc · 13/11/2022 12:50

That's horrifying.

It's unbelievable- as in I literally cannot get my head around - the number of teachers who seem to think that it's perfectly acceptable for teen boys to share changing or toilet facilities with teen girls.

The Dad's message was spot on.

Imagine the male football coach of a girls' team losing his job for trying to enforce safeguarding! And given that most teachers are female, it's well in the realm of ridiculous.

I think it’s because many of us women including myself have been brainwashed into believing that accepting transpeople would somehow bring about equality and acceptance. I was wrong and this mother is wrong. Also I imagine if she has had a natural born daughter it would have forced her to think long and hard about it. A strange male that is supposedly female creeping in the locker rooms and we are just supposed to assume that she has honest intentions and won’t do anything inappropriate.

Bar the guardian 🙄

SkinOfTeeth · 13/11/2022 16:57

Sounds like they were forced to back down. Good.

I'm with you Sparkle my head hits the wall when they bring some Old Testament crap into it. That doctrine does no favours to women 😡

MargaritaPie · 13/11/2022 20:07

I have a feeling the OP link is a pro gender critical website. Any sources that report a more netural/less-biased take on the story?

Circumferences · 13/11/2022 20:39

MargaritaPie
Are you expecting the Guardian or Pink News to report on this or something 😂 chance would be a fine thing!

PermanentTemporary · 13/11/2022 21:00

@MargaritaPie here's a different view;
www.google.com/amp/s/www.metroweekly.com/2022/10/vermont-transgender-teen-faces-hate-after-media-maelstrom/amp/

Ultimately it comes down to whether you think the girls were asking someone they undoubtedly knew to be male to leave their changing room for their privacy, or whether you think these were girls bullying another girl in their class. It's quite difficult to find a bridge across that one. Maybe that this policy of communal changing rooms separated by gender identity seems not to be working for anyone involved?
