Dentist medical survey

You have to fill in a medical form online before you have an appointment at my Dentists. It's had a recent update.

It asks if you are male or female as per usual but it has also added ... transgender, transman, transwoman, transgender man, transgender woman, ftm, mtf...and there are more categories I can't remember. Literally every language nuance is covered so no blue haired young adult is left crying I guess

I can live with that, it makes it all look fairly ridiculous anyway, but the real problem I had was the next question asking me what sex I was assigned at birth which I refused to answer. I mean the survey was totally ideologised.

I think the survey is used by the surgery, not made by it if that makes sense. Eye roll, is this how surveys will be forever now?

I don't see your problem, the sex assigned at birth can be very relevant in medical settings so really needs to be ascertained.

I wholeheartedly agree but people are awkward, mislead, radical and if asked a straight 'male or female' then could answer wrongly.

@getoutof true, a trans man may put down that they are a man rather than a trans man but then we have the nuts and bolts question of biology on here.

But this was done with the incorrect 'assigned at birth', the correct language is 'sex observed and recorded at birth'.

The question should be
Sex : male or female. Only 2 choices, like in reality. No pretend. No one can change sex.

If they need to know about any special identities they can ask another question, such as;

If you have a 'gender identity' please specify below.

Covers all bases and doesn't force the majority that thinks gender identity ideology is nonsense to go along with it.
