Just came across Barry Wall aka EDI Jester (on Twitter and YouTube).

Hilarious. Bang on. Brilliant.

Am I late to the party or finder of Fantastic New Thing?!

I thought he was great when I was on twitter. I don’t tend to watch YouTube much, but he is definitely one I should watch.

IcakethereforeIam · 03/11/2022 20:33

He seems lovely, I've watched a couple of his YouTube videos. Hasn't he posted occasionally on MN.

Helleofabore · 03/11/2022 21:10

He has cake.

TheClogLady · 04/11/2022 14:17

I like Barry.
I’m also enjoying Clive Simpson and Denis Kavanagh’s ‘The Queens Speech’ podcasts.
And Mr Menno, of course.

Gay men obviously have a different perspective on all this to Radfems but for those of us who are in this primarily as parents being able to hear all the different angles is invaluable (perhaps this perspective is particularly important for mums of the little boys Helen Joyce lovingly describes as naturally ‘swishy’ - who may well grow up to be gay and are at risk from the cultural negative stereotyping of feminine men).

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 04/11/2022 15:23

Barry is an absolute gem with an extremely infectious laugh. I’m a subscriber. Love him.

MarchXX · 04/11/2022 17:09

I've got a lot of time for Barry. Yes, he makes me laugh but he is also razor sharp with his analysis of the current situation and is absolutely single-minded in his desire to amplify what's going on in our schools, and getting it stopped. If you haven't already, I suggest you watch all his youtube vids from start.

jeaux90 · 04/11/2022 17:24

I subscribe too, I really like his analysis and wit. His laugh makes me laugh Grin. The Queens speech is good, and I do appreciate getting different perspectives outside of all the other more feminist ones I listen to.

DaveClifton · 05/11/2022 08:36

As advised, I've now watched all of Barry's videos is chronological order and love him even more now. Any smidge of self-doubt that I felt, that there might actually be something in all the gender woo has been thankfully eradicated from his funny and clear-cut analysis off all the nonsense.

Thanks for the other suggestions too - I'll be checking them out today!

Glinner did a good interview with Barry recently as well. Interesting man.

JacquelinePot · 05/11/2022 09:14

I second the Queens' Speech recommendation. Great analyses, such dry wits, the pair of them and Dennis' laugh is a joy

Mezmer · 29/01/2023 07:03

Just discovered him. Thank god for him. We need him.

Mollyollydolly · 29/01/2023 14:49

I like Barry too and Queens Speech. Their podcast this week on Scotland is hilarious.

AnyFucker · 29/01/2023 14:56

Not come across him before. What a wheeze 😊

That was a very good interview. It's only about 20 minutes but gives plenty of food for thought, and such interesting personalities.
