I know it's not the point at all, and the world should be accommodating to us and not the other way round, but while we await the fall of the patriarchy I use these in my car, they make a huge difference to my comfort

Oh sorry, that was in an Irish shop (I am in Ireland) but I am sure if you look you can get them in the UK too...

They have been a wonderful thing for me, whether driving or sitting in the passenger seat. My 13yo DS also uses them.

Yes, follow Caroline Criado Perez and write to your MPs (although my MP merely gave me a metaphorical pat on the head when I wrote to him, but he's notoriously dismissive). Europe has brought in new laws making it necessary for car safety to use a female crash test dummy, but the UK has chosen NOT to implement the same law. Yup, they have disregarded the safety of 51% of the population.

I hadn’t realised this. My MP probably just ignores anything I send now but I guess I’ll be writing again this week
