That's unbelievable. Like there aren't children in Greece. Like he'll have any motivation not to harm a child in Greece, particularly near the end of his stay when he could (assuming he actually comes back here) do it and leave Greece before being caught there.

The judge has basically given tacit agreement to him abusing "one last time" before (hopefully) prison.

And what about the victims? And their parents? Imagine getting this news?

WTF? He rapes a child, assaults another and has hard core child and animal porn but he gets to go on holiday? No.

I think there is more to this.

I think it is a case of, "I'll plead guilty if you let me go on holiday, otherwise there will be a trial".

If you were a parent of one of the victims wouldn't you do anything to save them from giving evidence?

Is he going to Greece at half term? Like lots of wealthy families do, to catch one last bit of sun before winter?

I saw this and my first thought was 'Unless he's a Greek or EU citizen why does he think Greece are going to let him into the country now anyway?'

And in fact I do take exception to your comment that their lawyer should hang their head in shame. The barrister is merely the voice of their client in the court, and take instructions from their client. It is not for them to make a moral judgement about whether or not they ask the court to extend bail. They simply put forward the best arguments on behalf of their client that they can.
