For anyone else who has been vaguely following the saga of Ezra Miller, he has just pleaded not guilty to felony burglary charges and could face up to 26yrs prison sentence if found guilty.

I imagine the combination of rich + famous + rainbow NB special status will make him think he can get away with anything, hence the not guilty plea, but it will be interesting to see how it turns out.

The entitlement is hilarious: According to Miller's representative, the home was of Miller's childhood friend, and the actor believed they were able to enter the home to obtain some rice wine as they were cooking with their mother. The rep also said Miller "did not realize the friend didn't want to be friends anymore."

I know he's an utter muppet, but I don't understand the possible sentence for this particular crime.

Why would breaking in and stealing 3 bottles of wine warrant 26 years in prison?

That defence isn’t a muppet defence. To my non-lawyer but used-to-live in-the-US self, Miller’s lawyer is trying to get the charge reduced to a misdemeanour- Miller didn’t enter the building with the intent of committing a crime. The intent was to borrow, not to steal.

As to why 26 years - US sentences are generally much longer than ours, and burglaries can easily turn into homicide.

I wonder how Ezra suddenly seems to know who women are when he feels like assaulting someone?

The intent was to borrow, not to steal.

How intending to borrow rice wine turned into stealing three bottles of other stuff remains a mystery.

Miller clearly feels he can do what he likes, both to other people and to their property.

And yes, astonishing that Ezra seemingly only picks women when he decides to choke and/or throw someone to the ground.

The Flash may be one of the biggest flops of all time 😁

I kind of feel bad for most of the other people who undoubtedly worked hard doing their bit for the film.

Yeah it's really bombing. Partly cos it's apparently a pretty crap film, despite costing quarter of a billion to make, partly because the press tours that normally accompany these films have been impossible to do because Ezra Miller can't be put in front of an interviewer, and partly because people don't want to see Ezra Miller on screen.

I've seen lots of comments on FB under promos for the film saying that they don't want to see anything with EM on screen and a lot of quite angry comparisons to the instant cancellation of Johnny Depp versus the continued support and seconds, third, fourth chances for Miller. People don't like the special treatment & Hollywood hypocrisy given to the alphabet people.
