Hoping the brilliant ladies can point me in the right direction of how to complain about the online form I had to fill in to give consent for my child to have the flu vaccination in primary school. Among the usual (relevant) questions, there was this one, which I have copied exactly:
- Child's Gender:*
- Male
- Female
- Prefer to self-describe as:
- Prefer not to say
Followed by (if you had chosen option 3 on the previous question):
- Prefer to self-describe as:*
__
Keeping in mind this is an online form, and the stars denote compulsory questions where the form would not let you continue unless they were filled in, and I wanted my child to receive the vaccine, so I choose the 3rd option on question 9, and put "SEX = FEMALE" in the fill-in box.
I find it ridiculous in the first place that this is considered a compulsory question, and even more so that on a medical form, the question of Sex was omitted in favour of this question, as surely if there was any relevance to asking either Sex or Gender, Sex would be the only question needed. If they wanted to ask a question about gender, I would think it should be optional and have a further option to choose which should state something like, "I don't believe in Gender ideology".
I'm fed up and want to complain about this. If the National Health Service don't see the importance of accurately recording sex what chance is there for everywhere else? I have tried to find where to direct my complaint, and can only find places to complain about the NHS website and patient care or similar.
Please help me find my words and who to direct them to so that they might be heard.
