Equity between the sexes - women in STEM

Celebration of women in science and tech ending https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-63201313 because of lack of sponsorship.

Is there genuinely no interest from sponsors, or are they backing off because anything promoting women is being seen as toxic?

I think a combination of issues:
Women are not the popular group to support anymore.
Other groups who claim to be the most marginalized are popular (even though they appear to be over represented in stem particularly in computer sciences)
Businesses aware that these days draw huge criticism if they don't include group 2 above and so often have a disproportionate focus on group 2.
This rightly pisses off women ie group 1 as the days/initiatives were meant to be about them but yet again they are sidelined in favour of males.
And don't you know women can have it all if they want it and there are definitely no barriers, institutional or otherwise, so we must just not want it

How depressing. And unsurprising too.
