Wish I'd caught his name. He was there as a political commentator. They talked right at the end about trans issues and the protests outside the SNP conference and the 3 MPs (SNP, Labour, Con) plus Jo Coburn were all fairly predictable in what they said.

The Uni of Kent man then somehow managed to impressively shoehorn some really key points into a few seconds just before the credits - mainly that women's and children's rights ARE being threatened here, that describing it as a culture war is a silencing technique, and that this issue is no longer a fringe one. He was v good.

I caught this, it was Professor Matt Goodwin - he did well in the small amount of time he had, agreed.

A recent long-form interview with Matt Goodwin on youtube, mainly about politics:

He's usually well worth a listen.

Thanks! I'll watch that (and will remember his name!)

Interesting - Goodwin is very impressive, but I hadn't heard him say much, if anything, about women's rights before. Glad to know he understands what's at stake.

Yes I saw that too and remarked how impressively succinct he was in the few seconds allotted.
