I think this deserves a thread of its own.
Everyone should watch it.
Say what you like about GB News, and there's a lot I dont like but 'Free Speech Nation' is superb.
I share his disgust at how BBC, ITN, Sky and Ch 4 News still don't report on this issue, even after the last two weeks. Cowards all of them.

I've shared this. If you need a summary of the issues this is well worth the 9 minutes.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 09/10/2022 22:43

Just listened - clear, concise and accurate.
Good to hear that Andrew's going to keep reporting this - as we've seen this weekend - there's an awful lot more to expose about all this.

jeaux90 · 09/10/2022 23:32

Did you see the interview with Dennis? I am absolutely livid at the new CPS policy they are consulting on around sex by deception. Bloody shocking stuff.

FemaleAndLearning · 10/10/2022 00:01

I've just linked to that interview on the CPS thread currently near top of page if you want to mark it.

EmmaH2022 · 10/10/2022 00:30

Gotta love Doyley.

BirdinaHedge · 10/10/2022 08:12

I have an inappropriate crush on Andrew Doyle ... Grin

Sometimes his Free Speech Nation is a bit too directive; Dr Doyle does have a tendency to ask leading questions. But at it's best, it's superb.

His discussion with Helen Joyce is worth watching on catch up- she finishes with a plea for the improvement of healthcare & safeguarding for children with gender dysphoria. When Doyle asks her what she wants for "trans kids" [hate that term, but anyway...] she replies that she just wants them to have the same high quality care that children receive for any other health issue.

It really cuts away the accusation that we are "transphobic" by calling for a halt & a rethink of current treatment of children over gender matters.

FemaleAndLearning · 10/10/2022 08:14

Yes Helens last sentence is really powerful and not in any way hateful.

Birdsweepsin · 10/10/2022 08:30

John Cleese talking about Doyle, GB News and free speech on R4 now (8.25am Monday)

...and a sharp look at Nancy Kelley and Stonewall as well.

Over600Ecalypts · 10/10/2022 08:33

On R4 Today, John Cleese talking about it with Amol Rajan at 8.25am. Apparently, John Cleese will be joining Andrew Doyle, maybe as a regular?

Magenta82 · 10/10/2022 08:45

This is a brilliant summary, calm rational and factual.
It's sad but it is likely that more people will take notice because a man is saying it.

SquirrelSoShiny · 10/10/2022 08:58

That was an excellent video thanks for sharing.

MrsJamin · 10/10/2022 09:33

He nails it - brilliant.

Dennis Kavanaugh and Clive Simpson do a weekly podcast called The Queens' Speech (Clive Simpson YT channel) and it is absolutely brilliant and very funny at times. I heard about the sex by deception consultation on there. It's horrifying. Every time we make progress in one area, you realise the TRAs are at it somewhere else. A couple of years ago on here, I posited the position that much of this ideology is coming out of the civil service, and was shouted down. However, I still believe this to be true.

I saw that interview with Helen. I thought her last sentence was a masterstroke in compassion for the child victims of TR activism. It is the activists we fight, not the individuals suffering dysphoria.

BitossiBlues · 10/10/2022 09:51

Meanwhile, in the US, the man you used to think could see the politics of the absurd, Jon Stewart, formerly of the Daily Show, is now a shill for TRAs. Posie did an excellent video about his hypocrisy. Compare and contrast with Andrew Doyle. Both highly intelligent satirists, only one of them honest and brave.

FemaleAndLearning · 10/10/2022 09:53

Yes I am always saying to people this is not about individuals. The problem is so many people know kids who are transitioning so they think about it individual terms and this clouds their judgement to look at the big picture.

Anyone know what film that clip at the end of Postie's video is from please?

BitossiBlues · 10/10/2022 10:17

The clip she uses is from the recent series Dopesick, about the scandal of the Sackler family drug company, Purdue Pharma, and the addictive painkilling drugs they produced which has led to the opioid crisis in the USA. It's brilliant and terrifying.

I'm linking the interview cited by @jeaux90 because this is completely shocking, and once again, Andrew Doyle - a comedian - is giving it more and better analysis than MSM. I hope whatever happens to GB News, AD can carry on with FSN on Youtube.

DameMaud · 10/10/2022 11:06

Thanks @BitossiBlues !

jeaux90 · 10/10/2022 14:05

@BitossiBlues thanks for pointing out the other YT channel with Dennis, I honestly believe we will win this by lawfare so I'll start following.

Absolutely. I think we should all develop a version of that for conversations we are having.

It works in the same way as the reason I like to give for not announcing my or asking others' pronouns: that I'm not comfortable with drawing attention to my sex, and that people questioning their sex and gender may not be comfortable with announcing their pronouns definitively.
