I was appalled at what happened to Caroline Farrow and donated to her legal fees via Citizen Go. After a bit of internet searching, which I should have done before, they look like an organisation whose values are dubious - with regards to abortion and other things. Has anyone heard of them?

Yes they are a Christian American organisation so their campaigns reflect those values. But I don't really care, and still Support CF who is also a Christian.

Yes they are dubious. They are vociferously anti-abortion and anti-same-sex marriage. If someone is using CG as their fundraising platform I will have to respectfully and regrettably decline.

I look at it through the lens of the TRAs / Genderologists piling on to ensure every crowd funding site removes GC fundraisers/crowd funding. At least this can collect donations that are freely given for Caroline’s specific cause.

this is what happens when what more ‘mainstream’ (can’t think of another word) crowd funding sites refuse to host certain people

as with all things if you don’t like it there is no one forcing anyone to use it

Said women are targeted by TRAs, sometimes to the extent of pursuing civil cases, getting compliant police forces onto them, or getting them sacked from their jobs

Said women may set up fundraisers on the conventional crowdfunding sites, which are targeted by the TRAs and often shut down. The TRAs try to remove every avenue said women have to defend themselves.

If said women then use less conventional crowdfunding sites, the TRAs then attack the women for that too, despite being the ones responsible.

And they often come on here with their ‘just wonderings’ and ‘I’m as GC as they come’ to profess amazement and baffled disappointment.

Oh Christ on a bike are we to have a weekend of people coming on here telling us how a Christian woman who campaigns against abortion works for a Christian organisation who campaign against abortion and how bad it all is?

Jesus literally wept. We know. Many people agree with her and them. Many people don't.

I really want to help Ms Farrow ( @snapealways ) but I am concerned about donating to CitizenGO, as I think their work in various African countries is quite damaging to women's lives there.

Is there any way we can be assured that if we donate to help support Ms Farrow in facing an attack from the Thought Police, the funds will go ONLY to her support fund?

I would love to tell you how many thousands my legal fees have come to after 3 vexatious claims but I cannot, not least because it would give the TRAs a cheap thrill.

Every single lawyer I have used is threatened and reported to their regulators. They are always exonerated but it’s just hassle that nobody needs.

I am dealing with someone who tries to use every procedural loophole in the book to try and escape costs liability and does everything they can to stop defendants from being able to mount their own defence.

I can assure people that there’s been no surplus at all and that every penny is going to my cause.

I was quoted £500 plus VAT (Sorry I said on Twitter it was £750 but that’s the total figure) for a solicitor following my arrest.

I am currently defending a third civil claim, issuing a counter claim, I now have potential criminal charges and we will be taking legal action against the police: we have already requested custody suite footage. I now have my civil solicitors and criminal ones.

These things are not cheap.

I guess you all think I'm a TRA. I'm not. I donated, I am GC, and though I don't post on Mumsnet I do follow the relevant news on Twitter.

So why suddenly post on MN and scold its members then? It's a pretty standard TRA modus operandi.

It's not hate, DaveDave. It's not even exasperation, it's just weary boredom with yet more warnings that we'll taint our purity. We have no shits left to give.

It was a question I had, that was all. I'm new-ish to all this to be honest, and although I feel very strongly about it I don't know everything, and I'm trying to learn. Sorry if I sounded scolding, it wasn't intentional. I just felt conflicted as I also believe in a woman's right to abort.I follow CF on Twitter and admire what she does. And it's a valid point, which I also didn't know, if she's been shut down on other crowd funding sites but the options are limited.
