Good luck OKPedro. My kids schools are very "unwoke". I used to resent that all the good local schools were Catholic schools but I'm grateful now for their conservative ethos. Although soon this shite will probably be embedded in the curriculum and then there will be no escape

Funnily enough I sent both my children to a Catholic primary school. My son is in 5th class and no mention of gender yet.

My daughter is in an educate together secondary. They are falling over themselves to be inclusive.

Oh Flywheel I know what your saying. I am an atheist and used to find it infuriating that so many schools are Catholic, but now it’s probably the only thing keeping this away from the younger kids.
I was a member of that Facebook group about raising not religious kids and I can’t get over how people who mock and belittle Catholicism so much have unquestionably accepted Gender Ideology. In Ireland of all places we should know better regards the dangers of things that must not be questioned. We know anything that gets that power causes harm.

We are in headlong flight from religion and desperate to be liberal and progressive. Same as the Scots , only in their case its Presbyterianism.

The English don't have this residual guilt thing . They don't need to over compensate. Because they've been agnostic this last hundred years.

Funny enough my English ex thinks trans ideology will never be taught in Irish schools . She's an atheist but has faith in the awesome power of the RCC. Not sure it exists anymore tbh

I truly despair at where we find ourselves. I'm in NI and watching our (formerly sensible) moderate parties jumping up and down for self ID. Surely they can see what's going on across the border? It's a collective madness.

That's an interesting explanation of why Ireland and Scotland have both gone in hook line and sinker while England hasn't.

How does your ex think it will be stopped given Gender Ideology is on the new RSE curriculum and feels like a fait accompli even though there is a consultation process on at the moment? (Please get your submissions in soon people, it closes 18th Oct). When the proposed curriculum was announced the outcry seemed to be about teaching about pornography rather than teaching gender ideology.

There's also a strong connection with TRA and left wing, which is playing a role too, particularly in Scotland.

I'm left feeling that like we are just playing a small part in an eternal battle- bigger than all of us. Knowledge of history is so important in recognizing these repeated, overarching themes.

What people need to do is to be able to make links and see the big picture. But the speed, profusion, and fragmentation of the current world (media etc) prevents most from doing that maybe?

I knew about the connections between the German Green Party and the advocacy for pedophilia but this is a whole other level of state sponsored depravity. It seems extraordinary (or not) that the international mainstream media has not been all over the story. The whole thing is really shocking.
