Long twitter thread here. She's had her electronic devices seized too, and has been accused of being certain posters on Kiwi Farms and Mumsnet

@BernardBlacksWineIceLolly and @BreakWindandFire sorry to tag you but she's been accused of being you!

We all know who this will be, but as Caroline says, please don't speculate/discuss them.

*CF, I mean. Which I used bc I'm not sure of the spelling of her Christian name, so that worked wellBlush

"Is it against the law to be a member of and/or to post on Kiwi Farms? If it isn't, so fucking what if CP is on there."

Per se, no.

But if someone happens to be investigated by police for certain crimes (especially if there happens to be a homophobic and/or transphobic aggravator, I don't know if there is here or not) then the fact they were on kiwifarms will be helpful to the prosecution.

IcakethereforeIam · 05/10/2022 12:59

Or completely circumstantial.

TheBiologyStupid · 05/10/2022 13:00

Very generalising there, to assume TRAs are all transpeople.

Absolutely!

Just go to this thread MargaritaPie and it explains it all.

And when you’ve read all that, do pop back over to tell us how innocent Mermaids are, like you said.

Are you worried about your details coming out from the KF hack Marge?

If you are truly convinced that guilt by association is a thing, what on earth are you doing here posting on ‘Prosecco Stormfront’?

"A verified Kiwi Farms user said police raided her house this morning, claiming she was behind an anonymous account on the site that was posting harassing communication."

Oh!!! You DO know how to do links. Are you going to provide the links I've repeatedly asked for on the other thread? The one where I asked you to provide real proof and actual evidence to back up your claims?

AlisonDonut · 05/10/2022 13:20

Can we just refresh our memory but isn't the serially offended person who allegedly has 3 police forces chasing down the meme poster also got an account on KiwiFarms dot net?

So do they cancel each other out in a court case?

More than one apparently…. does that mean they’re even worse 😬 😱

At least Caro has the balls to post in her own name.

Interesting article about Kate Scottow's successful appeal of her conviction which should have created case law around this issue. Im sure we can see this is relevant on a number of levels.

Hat, I too am a serving police officer of a similar age and I can totally understand why you would feel like this.
I'm actually angry on your behalf.

I imagine they have potentially thought "best not stop this lone woman walking her dog as she might be worried by that" rather than " we will provide some reassurance to Thai lone woman walking her dog"

We are doing listening circles in our force about experiences of women inside the force and that's still bad enough. Unfortunately we have a huge number of under 30 new recruits due to the cuts and then recruitment so most of those patrolling have under 3-5 years service.

I am really sorry you had this experience and would urge you to email in.
It's not a complaint, it's explaining how it makes us as women feel vulnerable

So infuriated by the CF case I can't post anything

LOL!!! (ie)

I'll have to dig the DVDs out again - what a joy that programme is.

Emotionalsupportviper · 05/10/2022 13:55

Oh, bollox !

Replied wrong quote (how? just how?)

It should have been the the black Books video link.

But while I'm on- one of the things I think has lead to the state of our police force is that experien=ced officers who know how to handle people and de-escalate potentially dangerous situations are retiring in droves because of ridiculous laws and being buried iii paperwork. (And who can blame them?)

The result it that there is no-one to model appropriate behaviour to all the young bloods (of both sexes) and teach them how to keep things calm.

That article is very helpful and must surely make this harassment of Caroline all the more unreasonable on the part of the police

How many reports have been made that did not end in this action

In July I reported an adult male who asked for and recieved nude photos of a 13 year old girl. The police haven't got round to questioning him or looking at his tech yet. Maybe if I'd said he'd said hurty words on the internet they'd have treated him like they treated Caroline Farrow?

Why is that not even surprising? It shows exactly how is top of the food chain though doesn't. Men as always

Still find it so strange that the fail has so often been the only paper addressing stuff like this.

It's weird isn't it? You'd think left wing papers would be all over civil liberty and freedom of speech issues.

Interesting that somehow having an account on kiwi farms means you’ll look bad in court. Twitter allow pedophiles to discuss their ‘attractions’. I think that’s disgusting and all of their T & C’s I’ve read about ‘minor attracted persons’ makes me think holding a twitter account should make someone look bad anywhere.

Weird old world where having an account on Kiwi Farms is apparently a criminal offence but if you advocate sex with children you get offered an academic job at the LSE.

Haven't read the whole thread but she should sue. The police aren't her malicious reporter's private force.

RoyalCorgi · 05/10/2022 14:57

Can someone describe the offending image to me - if you've worked out what it is? I can't imagine what would be so awful that it warrants this level of police attention.

One involved a photoshopped pic of the Queen and some corgis.

I can guess at another one, which was a pretty offensive cartoon.

I suspect we are in the middle of one of those gradual political switcharoos, as seen between the Democrats and Republicans?
