This is an excellent article!

A good time to support all the GC women in the Labour party and especially those in positions of parliamentary or other influence.

How can Kier Starmer NOT engage with this. #nodebate is not an acceptable position for any professional politician, or indeed anyone who wants their opinion to count for anything.

I wondered if someone had started a thread on this. It's really significant article. She's really got this, hasn't she?

TheBiologyStupid · 02/10/2022 14:19

A great article.

By refusing to openly acknowledge that there is a conversation that needs to be had about how to resolve these rights conflicts in a way that balances the needs of different groups, Labour is failing everyone. It means it, too, is complicit in the culture wars. We deserve more from our politicians.

This!

Really good article. I think it's very important that the gender war doesn't get turned into a disingenuous right-wing wedge issue, like abortion has in the US. The only way to avoid this is to get Labour to engage with it, instead of pretending it's not a problem they have to deal with.

Yes.

Brilliant, as always, and very good point about complicity in the culture wars.

Women within Labour who are dealing with this need more support.

Fantastic article. She's so good on this issue.

But when are the Guardian going to catch up? Or are they going to let the Observer do all the running on this?

A really comprehensive article about Labour's biggest blind spot. Gobsmacked the Guardian published it.

Brava Sonia Sodha 💐

Abhannmor · 02/10/2022 19:12

Oops. The Observer. Should have known.

LiesDoNotBecomeUs · 02/10/2022 22:24

The Guardian too. This must be a promising sign that 'no debate' has to be over?
