These aren't MRA's, but a serious looking group of men organising a pro-feminist conference for men & boys in solidarity with FiLiA on the same weekend. Vaishnavi Sundar, who is also at FiLiA appears to be giving a talk at the men's conference, which is called Men Challenging Sexism also.

It seems to cover a lot of interesting material including what men can do, pornography, the lack of domestic chores men do etc.

I think it would be great for men, husbands, dads, teenage boys / sons to take part in this / to attend. What do you all think? And how can we get more men to go to things like that?

This is their website: https://menchallengingsexism.org.uk/conference-2022/

Bumping this, they held one in Portsmouth last year when FiLiA was on, my DH is going to the Cardiff one whilst I'm at FiLiA.

I don't know how we can get men to go, I suspect the ones that do go are are not necessarily the ones we need to target, they are already self aware enough to get involved.

That's true.

I do think it's still useful though. The porn stuff, especially. There are men waking up to the fact that masturbating to images of women who may be trafficked and who are desperate might not be such a good thing. But having grown up in porn culture themselves, and with the "porn is sex positive" view all pervasive, they are unsure how to educate their children.

I can see how that might be a conversation better had away from the women in their lives.

I wonder which event will have the angry people lurking outside?
