Hi Mumsnetters
You were all so nice about my last poems that I thought I would share this one that I wrote today.
It is my response to all the debating on twitter. Now I do think that respectful debate is healthy but it can be exhausting too. We all care so much and it is hard when our views clash.
Anyway I hoped this might be a boost or something. If it cheers up just one of you then that's good enough for me.

"Gathering Storm"
Put your anger down and listen.
We women are a gathering storm.
Thoughts stirring,
Words forming to ideas;
Ideas swirling, battling, until
Our voices roar out like thunder.
We are an army, with shields of sisterhood.
Each with our weapons - knowledge, passion, bravery.
Our mothers paved the way for us.
Our daughters will rise up after us.
Generation after generation after generation
Will raise their voices and scream their indignation.
With our words, our art, our music and our poetry
We will be heard.
With our defiance, our strength, our fierceness
We will be heard.
With our common sense and straight talking
We will be heard.
We will be heard.
