The biological male winner was 3 seconds faster than the biological females Silver medal winner.

This bit really scared me and I will try to fact check it:

"This has been coming for a while. Six years ago, five transgender people won world championships in women’s events. Within the past 3.5 years, 30 transgender athletes have done so. It was only a matter of time for it to reach high school athletics."

Boys and men are generally more interested in sports. If they transition to women, that doesn't seem to change. So you get this.

@ZeldaFighter 30 transgender people (all biological males?) have won women’s world championships in the past 3.5 years? That’s a statistic I’d like to make use of! Can you provide a reference please?

I cannot see ANY justification for biological males to compete in ANY girls’/women’s sport. This (and more) is obviously going to be the result eventually, I didn’t realise how much it already was 🙄

It's getting ridiculous. I was hoping the madness would be stopped before too much damage was done. Can't the authorities see this for what it is?

The statistic is quoted in the article but no source is given that I could see. This year alone, there have been transwomen winners in darts and snooker.

I'm assuming you're familiar with the Save Women's Sports website?

This year alone, there have been transwomen winners in darts and snooker.

And golf, skateboarding, surfing, and plenty of 2nd places in a wide range of sports.

It is often difficult to keep track because if a transitioned male wins a place, some events don’t publish or publicise those results. It relies on women keeping track and keeping the discussion going.

But 2 years ago, we saw more ‘it is just one or two in all of that level of sport, why are you so upset?’

Now it is ‘it is just one or two in all the sports at all of the levels, why are you upset?’.

The change in just 2 years is noticeable but people who are fully supportive are still using the scarcity argument.

The reality is now in many sports across different levels there have been or are currently males placing in medal or prize winning positions in female sports categories. The scarcity argument is losing coherence. But hey, if you change definition of woman to suit yourself, changing the words indicating scarcity is no big issue at all.

Another mediocre male steals a place from a girl. In the US, sports scholarships are a route to a good college education for many kids. So this boy is not only stealing races from girls, he is also stealing their future opportunities

I agree with what the article says but the writer seems to have forgotten about miller and yearwood who were running track in high school.

I was chatting to a coach of us college teams about 5 years ago. He said they would go to meets and ‘there’d be another one🙄’. I asked what they were doing and he said ‘we can’t do anything’

weasly men would rather appease one male over a team of women.
