I just seem to think there appears to be no limit to anything labelled as "trans rights", if activists can't even bring themselves to say that this cross-dressing man has taken it a bit too far then when can they?

It's bad to say it, but at some point you have to give credit to the guy for taking it to such an extreme and still finding no drop-off in support. He's showing how deluded the activists are. The mental gymnastics of the activists is simply staggering.

ArabellaScott · 22/09/2022 20:13

Well, WiSpa showed us what would happen when a male exposed himself to women and children. Kayla Lemieux shows us what happens when a teacher takes their fetish to work.

WiSpa: Women protesting are attacked.
Lemieux: Well. Nothing.

Aaaannd - the news reaches the Daily Mail.

Doing worthy footwork educating the masses.

If 'gender identity' becomes a protected characteristic in this country, could we see this type of nonsense over here? Or long expensive court battles to stop some guy indulging his....authentic self?

LunaLights · 24/09/2022 01:48

It is protected in some Australian states.
I honestly despair of what will happen in the future - I think we are seeing a preview.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 24/09/2022 08:22

I don’t understand why this is covered by gender identity legislation. He identifies as a woman, fine. But there aren’t any women with boobs like this.

PaterPower · 24/09/2022 08:53

I read a comment somewhere on twitter (so it’s bound to be factual 🤪) that the man in question had got in trouble for pushing back on “woke” views and that the whole trans identity and OTT fake tits etc is him essentially gaming the system.

If you believe that theory / explanation, he was on the verge of being pushed out of the school but is now essentially sacrosanct. The school board, even if THEY think he’s putting it on, have no choice but to be supportive now.

I could see it being true if the guy was bloody minded enough, but either way it’s shone a useful light on where Canada’s approach would leave us in this country.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 24/09/2022 09:14

Good luck to him if that’s the case. The important part of this story is not the existence of a ridiculous fetishist but the behaviour of the people who should be the grown ups in this situation.

Manderleyagain · 24/09/2022 09:16

I don’t understand why this is covered by gender identity legislation.

The school always seem to say 'gender identity and expression'. So I think this is being covered as part of gender expression. This is how he 'expresses' his 'gender' and supporters are under the impression (or pretend they are) that they have no right to prevent him doing so.

It is a very good example that we have to remember and produce if any legislation is put forward that enshrines gender expression rights in those terms.

I would imagine even in crazy Canada that a court woukd find that the gender expression rights do not trump the school's duty of care to children. But the mere fact the law is written, plus a general environment where any concerns are treated as hateful, produces this.

Any personal expression laws should be written carefully so that they are always sensibly balanced against everyone else's rights and this is obvious in the wording.

There's already a thread about the protest here.

That could be a bit of propaganda, or it could be true. The only people who would know is the school itself.

Frankly, those breasts are so ridiculous, that I can't imagine even the most unhinged fetishist wearing them to work.

I mean, everyone absolutely thought it was a joke, until the school said it wasn't.

A few years ago I'd have agreed .

Knowing what we know now about the most unthinkable fetsishes..well sadly I can believe it

ScrollingLeaves · 24/09/2022 14:16

I think that teacher either has some sort of neurological illness affecting their perception of their own body, or else is daring anyone else to stop them - which would mean some sort of illness too.

What can the students do?

I wonder if that teacher’s teaching is ok? If it is, the students just have to keep going then get out of there. Eventually people may stop applying to the school.

FannyCann · 24/09/2022 19:30

What can the students do?

There's hardly any point in them trying to do anything official. They may as well just make their point in other ways.

I would say I was a fairly well behaved child at a school with no particular behaviour problems. Maybe a bit of smoking on the roof and drinking all the sherry at the parents evening. We used to tease the matron about her hairy chin. Confused
There's no way we wouldn't have reacted to that. Probably nothing subtle. Just humming or singing "Do your boobs hang low ....🎶"
whenever we saw the appendages approaching.

DH and his schoolmates had some inventive ways of annoying teachers. In a school with very old buildings, they somehow discovered that by quietly jiggling their heels on the floor, with half the class joining in, getting a rhythm going, it made the huge old windows rattle and it drove the teacher nuts.

We once looked at a Steiner school for DD and I noticed the pupils had prepared for open day by covering all the loos with cling film. Seems like a fair way of making a point about toilet usage.

I can't believe those children would be so well behaved that they would be respectful to that teacher. Possibly tricky if it is an important exam subject but woodwork - just have fun kids. In its way it would be more effective. They can't officially complain. Can the teacher officially punish the entire class? All the classes? I would honestly like to go back to school to take that on.

Norrisville · 25/09/2022 09:46

This isn't much to go on, but I couldn't believe this could be real so I did some digging. It came from Twitter, and so it's not the most reliable source... Wink https://twitter.com/wildaa_beast630/status/1573887517560131584?s=20&t=FEB87RPw24O7HAsrnp-gog

'there must be the highest standards of professionalism when you're front of our kids. On that basis I've asked the Ontario College of Teachers to review and to consider strengthening those provisions with respect to professional conduct, which we think would be in the interest of all kids going through'

Ontario’s Minister of Education.

ArabellaScott · 25/09/2022 10:34

Trying to cast open fetishism in the classroom as 'unprofessional' is about the weakest take possible. But it's apparently the most the children of Canada are going to get.

MrGHardy · 25/09/2022 17:01

Do teachers not have to pass certain psychological checks? This person clearly has issues.

Ohnohedident · 25/09/2022 17:20

I know a guy who goes around in a mini skirt. The pleasure for him is forcing people to see his cock as he manspreads in a mini skirt.
The same here I think, except its kids.
Although it could also be someone looking to make a discrimination claim and get a pay out?

Datun · 25/09/2022 17:54

Agreed. And they still won't be able to claim that he's trolling them.

Oh look, we'll have to tweak our policy, is the limpest of ineffectual lame pile of wank ever.

Their eyes simply will not look at the problem. It's extraordinary.

Datun · 25/09/2022 17:56

I suppose the one good thing coming out of it, is that everyone is telling them it's a fetish. Troll or not, this is how you display a fetish. Big boobs or not, it's exactly the same.

ImherewithBoudica · 25/09/2022 18:09

We are indeed reaching the point of increasing numbers of the crowd shouting "The emperor is naked!"

How does it go now...."Call an intermission! Call the court physician! His majesty is wide open to ridicule and scorn".

Yep. Seriously.

ArabellaScott · 25/09/2022 18:10

It is extraordinary. The facial expression of Curtis Ennis as he defended a teacher openly parading a sexual fetish in the classroom was grim. The faces of every one of the school board who vacated the meeting when a reporter stood up to ask questions were grim.

They know what they're excusing. They know what they're defending. These are people whose job it is to support and look after the interests of children.

I don't know how they sleep at night.
