I realise I’m a bit late to this!
As a current OU student (and in many other ways, eg Jo Phoenix…) I was concerned about the OU stance on gender ideology, and their status as Stonewall Champions. I wrote to ask for clarification and got the usual ‘we have support from many different organisations’ response. When I questioned which organisations, the response was ‘it wasn’t just about gender’.
I’ve written more specifically about how this approach might affect shared facilities and sleeping accommodation on field schools. I have yet to receive a reply.
