Tasmanian lesbian wants to ban trans women from her drag shows.

In a change from our usual drag discussions, Jessica Hoyle (member of LGB Australia) is after running a women-only Drag King Night. Which she cannot, in Tasmania, legally do - TWAW, that’s your lot, courtesy of their self-ID law, of which a university quite literally said no worries.

If you think Hoyle/Tasmania/single-sex sounds familiar, last year there was an article about her trying - & failing - to get permission to hold lesbian events for female people only. Which was (of course 🙄) treated as horrifically discriminatory & essentially evil.

The idea that, in the twenty first century, homosociality being forbidden & homosexuality redefined - with all attendant consequences - is lauded as progressive & positive, is genuinely quite sickening.

Yup. Back to the 1980s and section 28, when Thatcher tried to ban the promotion of homosexuality. Of course she failed, because the world was becoming more enlightened. Wasn’t it? Wait a minute …..

So some males who say that they identify as women insist on taking part in a traditionally female-only show in which they will "drag up" as men . . . AND they forced Ru Paul to let them take part in Drag Race when he wanted to ban them.

Talk about having your cake and eating it!
