I thought this was a slightly clumsy attempt to "be kind" and thought they should steer clear of politics, but now I find it's a Stonewall thang. Pissed off!

It's sad that I used to think "yay the rainbow" but now I just think the rainbow represents "Die in a grease fire you terf the penis will get whatever it wants no debate".....

i watch a lot of cricket & with any of the LGBT stuff they very much steer clear of trans. Sky have done a huge amount ti promote women a cricket & I just can’t see nasser hussein or Charlotte edwards straight face interviewing Maxine Blythe of Kent about their “struggles” to be included in the Kent woman’s team

It's so tedious because women's cricket has had a great boost from The Hundred. And of course there's the Red for Ruth day but that is a real charity. Why do they have to do this political shit?

I’m not happy with the rainbow laces and cricket has gone down the gender identity route. I stopped supporting Kent in 2019 when they made the mediocre male player Maxine Blythin their women’s player of the year . Maxine played a couple of times in 2020 but I haven’t heard of them since.

With the fantastic push for women’s cricket in the last couple of years I’m hoping the players now have the capital to push back on any further attempts by males to encroach on the women’s game. As with other sports cricket is really supportive of lesbian players but the men’s game needs to do a lot more to make gay players feel safe to come out.

Seems Maxine isn't with Kent now. I can’t find them listed on the Kent website anymore

The thing is rainbow has another meaning for South Africa - The Rainbow Nation following Nelson Mandela's election to the SA presidency.
