If you're in Edinburgh, keep an eye on Elaine Miller

I only know Elaine Miller through interviewing her. She spoke to me about the effects of testosterone on young women and it's something everyone should watch and share and ask their friends and family to watch.

This woman cares deeply about trans people. She is worried about what these drugs are doing to these kids. For this, she is being smeared as a transphobe and spat at in the street. I can't imagine the bravery it takes to keep going. If you're in Edinburgh, and you happen to see her, please say hello, thank her for what she's doing, or just give her a smile. She's only got a few days left and she has a right to enjoy the success of her show.

Sorry, should have said this is about Elaine Miller's show and I didn't want to start a new thread.

Thanks for bringing Elaine Miller to my attention Glinner. She's a refreshing voice in this toxic debacle.

Thank you @Igneococcus

Having read the article I think it does add weight to the suggestion that the cancellation of Jerry Sadowitz's show was due to a complaint by a staff member.

In a letter to the venue the playwright said she had asked the employee what issue he had with the show’s content, he told her, it was “rubbish that women only had vaginas”, that he could “buy one that works”. She added: “I asked what he m**eant, and asked if he thought that the measure of women’s bodies was their ability to be penetrated. He shrugged and laughed.”

I'm in Edinburgh for just one day, and trains mean I have to leave late afternoon, so can't get to see anything in the evening so I'll miss her, but if you want to read something truly uplifting, have a look at the audience reviews posted on the booking page for her show on the official Edinburgh Fringe website:
