I don’t even know where to start with these pictures, the slogans and the fact that Westbro Church has tweeted in support.

Whilst the pics are on an open and blue tick Twitter account, I will say that close ups of at least one of the pictures may not be safe for work.

The original tweet has been ratio’d, but I agree that this representation of LGBT is why so many people agree that LGB should be without the T. This is not Pride.

The Atlantic article is great, but definitely loses impact by the craven use of “Repent” when the actual sentence was “Repent, motherfucker.”

Love this article, thanks for sharing. Points out some of the many illogicalities. Imagine believing that God is on your side and hates your enemies, and simultaneously believing that you were “born in the wrong body.”

The overweening self-regard and the lachrymose self-pity just hanging out there on full display for everyone to see now. People are getting over their shit so, so fast and they just can’t help but accelerate the process. Good.

It’s so clearly-written & thought-provoking. But as the author says herself, effectively heretical in the present day…

I've been thinking this for a while. I'm no fashion icon, but many of their clothes choices are just awful, badly put together. My guess is that women's clothes are cut for the female frame...which they just don't have.

I've been going to Manchester Pride since it was born as an LBG person. I won't go now.
