Games Workshop, the makers, have apparently included terms that are frequently used to harm gender minorities in the current day, sounding uncannily and uncomfortably close to the rhetoric used by Gender Critical and trans-exclusionary groups.

Full credit to our local shop, a new manager came in and saw that girls who were interested were a little crowded out, especially when they were running tutorial group type stuff. They already had a "girls' night" but it was not much promoted. He employed a young woman and introduced pre-booking for tutorial sessions, which thinned out the boys who turned up and dominated as if they owned the place and meant newbies could turn up knowing they would get some space and help with their painting and what have you. The woman who worked there has moved on but I do see girls in the shop regularly and attending sessions. Age of Sigmar seems to be more appealing to some women, there is more choice of female units.
