Brilliant news! Here's hoping the rest of the Labour Party pay attention. Women vote.

ScreechingEchoChamber · 30/07/2022 10:51

Yes! Well done, Rosie.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 30/07/2022 10:54

Great news

Xoxoxoxoxoxox · 30/07/2022 11:05

Fantastic it sends a message to the Labour woke misogynists.

bellinisurge · 30/07/2022 11:24

Brilliant news. So glad her local party is behind her.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 30/07/2022 12:26

Great news.

Great news

Huzzah!

KatVonlabonk · 30/07/2022 13:26

I'm so pleased for her. A great message to all who tried to bully her.

Floisme · 30/07/2022 13:26

An excellent end to an excellent week. It's reassuring to learn that Rosie Duffield has support from fellow members.

This would be a great moment for Starmer to speak out about the treatment she's received (and still receives I imagine) from within the party.

Datun · 30/07/2022 13:46

That's excellent news. Labour are going to have to start paying attention to what the electorate want.

ThinkingaboutLangClegosaurus · 30/07/2022 13:59

Congratulations to Rosie.

I admire her courage and principles in continuing to represent the Labour Party, after it has so shamefully failed to defend her against the transactivists who must have made her life hell. The TRAs issued such credible threats against Rosie that they actually prevented her attending a Labour Party conference.

How any political party can let that happen to its elected representatives is beyond me. The Labour Party didn't even try to stop them. Doesn't it see how weak and useless it looked, letting that happen?

Anyway, well done Rosie. The Labour Party doesn't deserve you. Or me or the many other lifelong Labour voters I know who will never vote for them as long as they continue trampling on women's rights.

GrimDamnFanjo · 30/07/2022 14:31

Ovaries of steel. I'd hate to have been through what Rosie has. Lots of wailing on twitter from local students apparently.

ScrollingLeaves · 30/07/2022 19:09

Well done, Rosie.

This! And congratulations, Rosie!

Rosie is my MP and she has my full support. This would be a perfect opportunity for Keir Starmer to speak up for her, but it speaks volumes that he hasn't.
I do worry whether she will be re-elected. She had strong support from students in Canterbury and I doubt she can rely on that again. Her majority is small, so she is vulnerable. I guess it depends on whether students can bring themselves to vote Lib Dem or Tory. I think it rather more likely that they wouldn't vote at all...

Natsku · 30/07/2022 20:41

Wonderful news! I voted for her the last time I was able to vote, can't vote any more as been away too long though so can't vote for her next time.

I suppose the students could vote Green. That's more cool and trendy than Libdem. If enough of them do the seat will go Tory. But will GC voters from those parties support Rosie ?

FrancescaContini · 31/07/2022 12:57

Rosie, you’re marvellous ❀️ So pleased for you.

SeaRabbit · 31/07/2022 13:06

Hopefully women will seek to encourage Rosie and vote accordingly. I've always voted LibDem until the last GE when I spoiled my ballot, as I could not bring myself to vote LibDem, and wouldn't vote Labour or Tory either in general. But I'd vote for Rosie like a shot.
