Did people see Liz Truss talking at the LBC event in front of an audience about single sex toilets in schools and protecting single sex spaces?
A woman asked about what she would do about schools that have brought in mixed sex toilets. Truss said girls have the right to privacy and to their own loos, and she would direct this to happen. The audience clapped.
She was then asked by the interviewer about transitioning pupils. There was a ripple of laughter in the audience. Truss said she doesn’t believe children can make irreversible decisions about their bodies, and would ensure this didn’t happen as PM. Sustained applause.
