Quite a lot of people commenting on this on Twitter

Did anyone else find that chart wildly difficult to interpret, or was I just being thick? I’ve got it figured out now but I had to type then delete a whole comment full of questions before I was able to make sense of it.

PearlClutch · 20/07/2022 16:59

I found it all very waffly and opaque. TBH, just skimmed it. Badly phrased, badly designed, and not really telling us much we don't already know.

PearlClutch · 20/07/2022 17:00

I find things like that are often hard to parse when they are being massaged very hard to show something that they don't, in fact, show.

The cognitive dissonance makes it all go all fuzzy.

TheGreatATuin · 20/07/2022 17:47

It's definitely better worded than the last one they did, but some of the questions don't make sense.
There was one that was something about people being allowed to change gender from the one they were assigned at birth. I noticed that one had a lot of unsures.
There's a huge difference between someone being gender non-conforming as many of the responders will assume, and someone changing all their sex markers on official documents and the NHS, or a male person 'changing gender' via self-id and overriding womens right to single sex spaces.
Its a mess of a question.

bellinisurge · 20/07/2022 18:16

Attitudes to women's rights have improved.

hallouminatus · 20/07/2022 19:22

Questions about prisons are notably absent.

hallouminatus · 20/07/2022 19:25

Also hospital wards and intimate health and social care is not discussed.

Actually they avoided "assigned at birth", mentioning "sex at birth"🙂once, and "gender recorded at birth" 🤔several times.

… because then the entire jig would be up.

HPFA · 20/07/2022 20:00

In the light of this is it more likely that

  1. Stonewall will do some serious soul-searching and ask themselves if their current approach is actually making things harder for trans people as well as females?
2.Or just carry on screaming about transphobes and bigots?
Conflictedunicorn · 20/07/2022 22:12

Based on past experience 2 but with the volume turned up to 11

bellinisurge · 20/07/2022 22:18

Joanna Cherry, Mordaunt out, YouGov poll, Irish Times article. Today is a good day. Many setbacks to come but I'll take today as a good one.

FemaleAndLearning · 20/07/2022 22:36

Over 100 comments under the well know transactivists. Everyone saying you did this yourself, you told people to educate themselves and they did!

VestofAbsurdity · 20/07/2022 22:59

Drag Performer banned from National Theatre for their abhorrent 'joke', yes today has been a good day.

@VestofAbsurdity , yup. Another good one for today,

mrshoho · 20/07/2022 23:16

I also credit JKR with shedding sunlight and reaching out to so many otherwise blissfully unaware Women. Seeing her being publically vilified so viciously made many look further into what all the fuss was about. The author whose books were such a big part of our children's childhood. What could she possibly have said or done that was so upsetting and causing trans groups to demand her to be cancelled? Then the realisation of reading her words and agreeing with them. To JK and all the other brave voices who spoke out Thank you.

Yes the TRAs have brought about their own downfall.

Yes the issue of women's rights is crucial I fully agree.

What phobia are you talking about?

LaughingPriest · 20/07/2022 23:39

Phobia of penis and testicles. It's Ides' speciality. Ides has imagined a bunch of stuff about women's opinions of penises - AND testicles - and keeps posting about it - it keeps them busy, I suppose.

LK1972 · 20/07/2022 23:41

@Ides Sure, we in this forum are all reactionary Tories and misandrist feminists, and nobody in the real world agrees with us.

In fact, everyone wants men in women's sports, drugs and surgery for GNC kids, and cocks in women's spaces.

Totally the takeaway I have from this latest study.

Do you not think you might need to find better arguments than that, or you think your approach of minimizing women's concerns is working well, but just needs to be cranked up to 11?

LaughingPriest · 20/07/2022 23:43

The questions don't make much sense tbh - this one
"Allowing transgender women to use spaces reserved for women does not present a genuine risk of to women".

Seems like they meant to include another word there but it got lost?

And obviously, the definition of 'trans' doesn't make much sense. How can a sex be the same, or different from, a gender? They are separate things.

LK1972 · 20/07/2022 23:43

Poll, not study, not that that makes any difference

mrshoho · 20/07/2022 23:43

keep up the good work @Ides . You're doing a grand job.

Oh yeah, that's true, the testicle-phobia is real and valid, anyone who disagrees is a bigot.

Although, have to give Ides points for originality, don't see testicles mentioned often enough when women are scolded, normally it's just our unwillingness to be exposed to strangers penises that is described as unnatural.
