Apparently Penny Mordaunt's brother nearly married David Paisley

Pluvia · 16/07/2022 22:33

Back in February 2021 David Paisley tweeted that he was engaged to her twin brother and nearly had her for his sister-in-law:

I've heard from gay male friends that Penny's brother has been a pretty outspoken TRA. So now we know why she was so TWAW.

I predict that Mordaunt will drop out before it goes to next round.
Conservative Central Office will scupper her bid. They will have harvested all Soc Media. It would be too divisive and de-stabilising.

TRA's have infiltrated this site, I find this very hard to believe

Talk about the devil & the deep blue sea! We have on one hand , a man who knows absolutely nothing about what it’s really like to struggle to pay bills, and on the other a woman who doesn’t know what a woman is & lies about her comments regarding self ID.
How the hell did the UK end up in this absurd situation?

Over the weekend I've had several women tell me that they liked Penny because of her looks/ they wish they had her hair/ she has good fashion sense/ it would be good to have an attractive younger woman in charge of things. When you look at the number of women on Mumsnet agonising over their eyebrows and skin care regime and worrying about whether to have botox and fillers and implants etc, the poll is sadly possibly quite accurate.

Leaving trans people be to live their lives in peace is a good way to deal with the culture war.

You seem to be labouring under the delusion that women like myself have nothing better to do to than push back on trans activism.

That we are perhaps all bored housewives who simply need to get a hobby???

If anyone had told me 10 years ago, I would have to put in considerable time, effort and money to uphold not just womens rights but the very definition of womanhood I would have thought them mad.

But here we are....

I didn't ask for this fight and let's be very clear, it's a fight against a dangerous ideology not the ability for trans people to live in peace.

As such I won't sit back and simply watch people like yourself gaslight the population into buying the narrative of the nasty transphobic women who should just leave trans people alone.

I won't sit by whilst a woman standing to be our PM gaslights her party and the population about her repeated attempts to introduce this ideology into legislation.

I won't stop supporting legal challenges with my money, lobbying my MP (or any other person/organisation) who is in a position to push back against gender ideology in favour of biological reality because some men might get a bit upset.

Frankly I'd love the opportunity to live in peace and direct my time elsewhere from protecting the rights women are legally entitled to from being eroded, but whilst this pernicious ideology still has traction then that's something I'll have to aspire to.

What a load of shite. It's just fucking dishonest.

I mean the pro-Mordaunt poll, not what you posted!

I don't think there is any call to be snarky about women who - if this is the thread I think it is - admit that their concerns about ageing are out of control and who ask for support. No need at all.

Didn’t even need to see the name to guess who posted this. Is this another if your ‘women shut up and be kind posts’. Have you not realised
1 this is really boring now
2 it won’t work
3 you really really need to play a new record

But that thread is indicative of what I'm talking about — and there are dozens, possibly hundreds of others in the same vein. That thread, which started with a 'Help, I'm scared I'm getting obsessed' vibe had, when I last took a look, women recommending all kinds of anti-ageing products to each other.

Is it just me that wonders if Penny's apparent change of views away from self ID etc may not be unrelated to her acquaintance with the individual named in the OP, and some of that person's behavior towards women?

Floisme · 18/07/2022 16:51

I just think it's possible to express concern about the pressures on women not to look their age without being quite so snarky or denigrating their intelligence Pluvia. ButI've no intention of deraiing this thread any further.

Where on earth is this coming from? I'm not expressing concern about the pressures on women not to look their age and I've said nothing about their intelligence. MNetters cover a huge demographic. Many of them have no interest in the kind of things that concern us here and no interest in politics in general. They are as entitled to a view — and to participate in a poll — as anyone else.

OP posts:
Floisme · 18/07/2022 17:43

And plenty of posters are perfectly capable of taking an interest in politics as well as in their appearance, but if you can't see how belittling your post sounded Pluvia, especially towards a poster who was being open about her concerns, then I don't think there's any point in talking about it any further. You're the op of this thread so I'll leave you to it.

There’s a picture of him online in leather with unzipped flies and his hand down the front of his trousers.

achillestoes · 18/07/2022 19:36

(Not revenge porn or anything. It looks professional.)

KittenKong · 18/07/2022 21:08

If trans people will leave women alone then we will leave them alone.

They do. It's cisgender people who dislike trans people, not the other way around.

BreadInCaptivity · 18/07/2022 21:54

@Hearach15 😂😂😂

Really? That's your direction of travel.....that trans women leave women alone?

You know we have receipts...

Karen White for starters.

I'm sure the women he sexually assaulted in a female prison wish he'd left them alone.

Or Barbie Kardashian's social worker whose eyelids he tore when he attacked her and tried to strangle her.

Or the sex offender who decided it was his right to get his cock out in front of nude women and children at Wii Spa.

Or Mridul Wadhwa, who thinks rape victims should be educated to reframe their trauma and share spaces with men in refuges and therapy sessions (after applying and getting a job specifically reserved for a female).

Or all the women who has to compete (and lose) to Lia Thomas and share changing rooms with them. I pretty sure they would have like Lia to leave them alone.

Or any male bodied person who thinks it's ok to invade womens spaces to validate their own desires....

Please don’t use the word cis, it’s offensive and a reportable offence in here. @Hearach15

ErrolTheDragon · 19/07/2022 08:40

I'm not sure I know any 'cisgender' people, and I don't know anyone (all the rest, who don't define themselves in terms of 'gender') who "dislikes trans people".

I'm not keen on individuals, whatever their sex or gender, who undermine womens rights, of course.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 20/07/2022 15:28

No pun intended, but d'you hear yourself @Hearach15 ??

A 10 year old would blush at saying that out loud and expect to be taken seriously.

Honestly, we're up to here 🫡 with these sorts of responses now.
