I thought organisations had learnt not to offer direct communication after the NSPCC debacle, seems not.

Ffs safeguarding anyone 🙄

CatsOperatingInGangs · 12/07/2022 14:35

Why do all the male players in the womens game always play in goal? I can’t think why 🤨

FemaleAndLearning · 12/07/2022 14:37

Another screenshot saying happy to chat with children and adults. Huge red flag.

What’s wrong with these organisations? Why don’t they learn things?

ControversialOpening · 12/07/2022 14:42

If that's the same Pippa Henry I'm thinking of then Pippa is also a medium and spiritualist. Just the sort of person you'd need for support and advice.

FemaleAndLearning · 12/07/2022 14:46

Yes that is correct.

Wasn't it in the North West that some of the worst football club-linked historic abuse cases came to light?

FlibbertyGiblets · 12/07/2022 15:05

www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/safeguarding/section-6-safeguarding-in-the-digital-world The FA safeguarding page here. I need to be elsewhere shortly - can someone have a look through the downloadable policies pls. Particularly policy 6.2 might be useful or illuminating. Sorry to post and run.

Link to the Safeguarding page of Cheshire FA, Greg McLean (who interviewed Pippa) is the Safeguarding Deputy!

Pippa has recently become a 'nan'. Hmm.

Yep, Barry Bennell at Crewe

Safeguarding link at Cheshire FA, sorry:

Isn't it strange how transwomen athletes are usually 20 years older and massively out of shape compared to the women on the team? I wonder why.

IcakethereforeIam · 12/07/2022 15:38

I've just followed some of those links from the Cheshire FA Safeguarding page. The link for 11-13, takes you to a page for something called CEOP, which seems to be for 11-18. There are links for sexual consent, identity (duh!) and sending nudes. I thought children that young couldn't consent to sex? I know little about Safeguarding and have only had a very quick look but 🚩

Sorry, just realised Pippa isn't actually going to play. I thought from the goalkeeper comment above that they were.

IcakethereforeIam · 12/07/2022 15:43

Actually, CEOP stuff seems pretty good.

Charley50 · 12/07/2022 15:54

Jesus! Even if he has had safeguarding checks done, it would be the football club email given out, not a personal one. All common sense just goes out the window.

Ooh, if they can see souls, maybe they should get a job on maternity wards assigning genders.

Pippa has recently become a 'nan'. Hmm.

Can you imagine popping "I've recently become a grandad, come and chat to me" into some advert gumpf.

Littlecousinscampi · 12/07/2022 15:38

Sorry, just realised Pippa isn't actually going to play. I thought from the goalkeeper comment above that they were.

There's a photo of them posing with the team in kit, holding up a trophy and commenting that it was nice to play, so they've certainly played at some point.

It's extremely rare to see women over fifty still playing football. The demands of motherhood and the physical nature of the game (many women retire with injuries) mean very many women stop playing by their thirties and a team may only have one or two left in their forties.
