Loos at venue yesterday - spot what’s wrong

Hi everyone - I went to a hen do yesterday at a hired space in London. These were the loos.

once again, women are moving aside for the rights of others and men remain immune.

Often womens toilets are also the disabled toilet. My issue with that is that, quite reasonably, a disabled person might take longer to use the facility and women are queuing (with children). The mens toilet though is just for men. This is in places with only 2 toilets in total but pisses me off that it’s women who have to share. Both womens and mens toilets should have facilities for disabled people.

My sister is almost blind - well legally she is blind.

She needs to feel safe in spaces - changing spaces, loos etc. how can she is she can hear - her ears work fine - and hears a male voice in the same rooms?

The Durham Miners Gala had fabulous toilet provision yesterday. Differentiated mens and woman's with many more woman's than mens. I was rushing for a wee when I saw Jeremy Corbyn otherwise I’d have stopped and expressed my disappointment in him. I was his biggest fan when he was labour leader and was open minded when he championed Trans rights. Here we are now following a Tsunami of rape and death threats against women like JK who’ve courteously and intelligently tried to safeguard woman's spaces . And not a fucking peep out of him about it . Last time I saw he was speaking it was to spout about “ trans rights”. Nothing about women being raped on hospital wards , losing their livelihoods for trying to define their spaces . Shame on him

Visited a pub in Cornwall recently and went to visit the loos. There were 3 . Men, Women, Whatever.!

Hello @TheTamingOfTheresa! I was at the Gala too, being on the Right Side of History as we are. I didn't get round to finding the loos but glad to hear they retained common sense when planning the event.

It's not very clear is it, I'd have to really think what GNC meant. Also, what if you're GNC but would identify more with "men" that day

I just came on this thread to say how great the female toilet facilities at the Durham Miner's Gala were and have seen others saying the same thing. Made me smile to see more toilets for women, really well thought out. Loved seeing the Womans Place UK and Labour Women's Declaration banners and marchers too. Great day.

I'm assuming the posters suggesting photoshopping are doing so because it would be surprising and upsetting to discover that those are, in fact, the actual signs on the doors?

I've seen men's only toilets and mixed-sex toilets with no women's only, for myself.

That’s exactly it.

It’s unbelievable to them that this happens in real life.

We were at the Remarkables ski field last winter and the cafe had two loos - on for women, non-binary/gender fluid/whatever, and one for men.
