I've just read this article in the independent where a woman was arrested in hospital after giving birth to a still born at 23 weeks pregnant.

It states that in the last 8 years, at least 17 women have been investigated for inducing their own abortions.

It's shocked me. I used to keep my head down and not think about things but a lot alarms me these days and this article, I felt was scary

It is shocking, its a reminder we cannot take the right to abortion for granted as even in the UK women can be blamed for the loss of a baby. In a way I envy woman who are confident all the battles are won it must be nice to be so unconcerned. For a few years as I had children and could see women had a lot more rights than when I was young I stopped worrying as I was confident progress would continue. But once you start to see the erosion it becomes impossible to ignore.
