Just seen on twitter she is taking on Nottingham City Council. Just google her name and it should come up. Get those gardening gloves on ladies.

I’ll sow some seeds, but she’ll be fine. Blatant breach of her rights.

ickky · 02/07/2022 21:47

Yes NCC very helpfully wrote their confession and posted it publicly, should be a slam dunk.

Thanks off to do some gardening

Redshoeblueshoe · 02/07/2022 22:25

Digging done.

MargaritaPie · 03/07/2022 00:08

Are we allowed to take about donating and fundraising on this board?

Thelnebriati · 03/07/2022 00:12

Thank you Aunt Lydia; the rule is no direct links to fundraisers.

Yes.

LarryBlackmonsCodpiece · 03/07/2022 00:16

@MargaritaPie are you going to get your ruler out to whack our knuckles so we can’t get our hands in our purses, what about sew our mouths shut, that’s probably more your thing.

ItsAnOvaryAction · 03/07/2022 00:20

No @MargaritaPie I think you missed the point. It is July and as it is peak growing season, all gardeners and farmers are hard at work but still have outside interests. I used to live in the city so I wasn’t so aware of the rhythm of the seasons either. We have a few acres now, mostly grazed, but I keep a big border garden round the back of the house fenced off from the chickens and sheep. The foxgloves have done so well this year and my agapanthus and climbing roses have gone wild. I would love to send flowers to Julie at this difficult time but will instead dig for bulbs to plant later as she’s quite far away from me 💐

CompleteGinasaur · 03/07/2022 00:26

Thank you, ickky, I've been watching Julie's cabbage patch since I dug around in it this morning, and was hoping that someone would post a thread about it with a slightly more informative/encouraging title! (Was considering doing it myself, but never been brave enough to start one..)

P.S. I've never seen anyone's cabbages and peas shoot up so fast. If Nottingham City Council (my council, actually; feel like I should be apologising..) thought they could throw money at this until she collapsed, bankrupt, I think they're in for a very nasty shock!

EaselArt · 03/07/2022 00:36

Do you think the political parties have noticed how much support Julie is getting. The garden patch has grown enormously since this afternoon. It makes this farmer very w

I don't know, but I love how MN has a wonderful group of women who love to garden - and I see you are here to add some manure?

As we all know:
Gardening and planting is vital for the future of our children, and their children.

It is important that plants receive as much sunshine as possible, and don't forget to pull out those pesky weeds that try to invade the healthy plants.

I am a really bad gardener. Not on purpose, I always mean to do some digging but never get round to it - I have to say, Margarita Pie, you are like Gardener's Question Time, you have really inspired me to dig out some seeds right now!! Thanks xxxx

SallyLockheart · 03/07/2022 06:56

Been digging 😀

I love the 'we' there.

Very primary school teacher. 'Now, Year 2, are we going to be lovely and quiet so we can all watch the video?'

'We' my arse.

NCC have past form for wasting tax payers money on pursuing legal challenges they can't possibly win unfortunately. Hopefully Julie's patch will flourish sufficiently to give them pause for thought.

Sarah could also do with some carrots for help with single sex rape counselling provision.

BingBongSong · 03/07/2022 07:33

Thanks, I have contributed.

Eddielizzard · 03/07/2022 07:59

Well I must be dim, because despite going to the garden centre and looking around for some sort of carrot display to help create and nurture the garden, I couldn't find anything that relates to this particular thread. Any pointers / clues? For gardening of course.

Motorina · 03/07/2022 08:51

@Eddielizzard I find, when I want to visit a garden, then crowdjustice has an exellent selection.

Me? I'm meant to be competing with my dogs today, but one of my girls is injured. So I've plenty of spare time to do some weeding.
