WTAF. I'm too angry to write a coherent post sorry. Just so in despair about what is happening to women right now 😞

I have emailed the NHS website feedback form and Sajid Javeed. It doesn't feel like much but it allows me to let off steam.

And yet the information on the ‘male menopause’ still mentions men plenty of times. Obviously a more important condition. Unbelievable.

The nhs digital team are not very quick at changing the page back on Mr Javid’s request. It still doesn’t mention women

Email sent too , fucking ridiculous

Who is the 'you' they mean when they talk about menopause?

What if a man reads the page to understand about his wife's menopause? The 'you' wouldn't make sense then, would it? I know I am looking at the logical semantics rather than the bigger and more important question. But what kind of moron do they get writing these bloody webpages? I've contacted gov dot on more than one occasion about their inability to differentiate between 'less' and 'fewer'. They're bloody imbeciles.

And their explanation, rinse and repeat, is that they are making things clearer and more relevant!

They are in the business of making women unmentionable, that's what their goal is. 'Men' can be mentioned, but 'women' can only be mentioned in, say, the expression 'trans women.'

This truly is the worst time for feminism in the West for several decades. Rape is in practice not really a crime in the UK anymore, as the likelihood of being sentenced for it is close to nil, young women online complain of young men thinking that women like being slapped and choked and debased in sex, surrogacy and sex work are promoted as good career choices for poor women, and the very sex that these things happen to is becoming invisible and impossible to discuss,.

ChocAndAwe · 01/07/2022 16:40

Bollocks to that. I've made a complaint and written to Mr Javid as well.

What kind of fools do they take us for?

5th July and still no change to the page..

BootsAndRoots · 05/07/2022 17:16

The context of the page has changed from it being a natural thing to something being caused by surgery (clearly with trans men in mind, and I don't even know what actually happens with them if they're receiving large doses of testosterone at the same time).

No doubt someone at the NHS is looking at everything related to women and removing any mention of women from it. That person's salary could be spent on another nurse.

Really the NHS should provide separate pages about what to expect if you change sex, but we know medical practitioners don't want to tell people what to expect after surgery, just get them on the surgery table.
