Lesbians and the Gateways club .Last night on TV

Quite an affectionate look at the place, with great photos. Pissed off though by Sandi Toksvig who talked about the club welcoming people who “ identified as lesbian.” Good to see much older old dykes having a say who were on the edge of talking about why there are no lesbian women only clubs any more. No doubt some like Linda Riley have been pushing for inclusivity …surprised she even used the word lesbian as it is so out of fashion these days.

Oh I'd like to see this! What time and channel was it? Ta!

And the BFI curator couldn't even use the word lesbian. It was on BBC Four.

BBC4 9pm Tuesday.

Presumably, to this day, Toksvig is baffled as to why the Women's Equality Party has gone nowhere and made negligible inroads into public awareness as a relevant organisation.
