Of course it is. Of course they know what a woman is. Pretending not to know is effectively acknowledging that to them women are unimportant and women's rights, opinions and safety are trivial matters to be discarded at their convenience.

I hadn’t realised that she was partially sighted as well as deaf. At 80 years old she is doing so much - what a fantastic role model.
