Anyone going to College Green this afternoon for the rally?
I am hoping to if I am feeling better - crappy cold, and hope the weather holds.

It's not relevant to Bristol, and Kellie Jay and the women there are not responsible for Mr Menno's choice of attire in any case. It's just a predictable deflection.

Again:

Mr Menno probably should have looked in a mirror and thought again, but that doesn't matter because that's not why it's being brought up. Deflect and deflect because tras can't address the indefensible which is their violent, angry men turned on by shouting at women.

FOJN · 22/06/2022 08:04

I would go further and say there is not just room for all but that different approaches are necessary. Serious academics and those with a proven track record in campaigning for women's rights will have a different audience and sphere of influence to someone like KJK.

To describe KJK's approach as a astute is to seriously underestimate the genius of her campaign. Her message is so powerful because of its simplicity: center women and tell the truth. She has managed to reach people other feminist campaigners might not and she is galvanising women to act. That she has done it all after being rejected by more "respectable" feminists is a testament to her courage and determination.

I'm pleased to see KS acknowledge how effective KJK is.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 22/06/2022 08:06

There is indeed space for all of us. We're making it.

Yes, precisely.

These young men are deranged, so much agression and anger. twitter.com/StandingforXX/status/1538498687114035201?t=Z-V2JMHTSCxhLycZRS6DXA&s=19

These men are terrifying. I wonder why they hide their faces?? 🤔

I think that the one on the left is yelling something along the lines of “..going to tie you up..”

This.

Also I have seen no evidence that KJK is racist nor Islamophobic.

KJK keeps the focus on her goal and resists purity spirals and it seems will engage with anyone who is willing to engage in good faith from wherever on the political spectrum. Dialogue is the way forward on so many important issues.

I'm not sure why you think I care? It's an irrelevant distraction from abusive men.

What matters is focussing on this fight, not checking out the purity of your fellow fighters.

When something bad is said or done, call it out but move on. Mr Menno was a mistake, imo, and shouldn't be repeated. Move on.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 22/06/2022 08:20

Oh give over with the attempted shit stirring, it’s transparent and pathetic.

Almost as pathetic as the erection on the abusive man in the video.

Almost as pathetic as that group of men, collectively. What’s the collective noun for Black Pampers?

picklemewalnuts · 22/06/2022 08:20

Comment on the behaviour, not the person.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 22/06/2022 08:29

Why comment if you don't care, no one is forcing you

I'm commenting to point out the irrelevant distraction technique. Hope this helps.

Suzanne Moore isn't on this thread, perpetuating the above-mentioned irrelevant deflection of abusive male behaviour towards women and girls.

YY.

Datun · 22/06/2022 08:41

Course its deflection. And everyone can see it. They can also see posters using women to attack other women. Yawn. Same old.

Kellie Jay really gets the collective TRA goat.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 22/06/2022 08:44

What’s the collective noun for Black Pampers?

my suggestions:
a multipack
a binful
a hoorah (posh white arseholes)
a breakout
an eruption
a disappointment
a clandestincel

Hagiography · 22/06/2022 08:50

News in this morning: Not all women like each other, agree with everything every other woman says ever, and not all women get on with each other. Amazing, I know.

Further reports suggest that at some points, some women may actually have said things that were not very nice.

There have even been some suggestions that giggly pillow-fight scenes beloved of many males may actually not be giving an accurate picture of women's relationships.

I know some on this thread are hoping for a press conference at some point where women apologise for not living up to the 'be kind' mantra, do a bit of weeping, and promise to do better to appease the males who want them quiet and decorative.

I'm afraid that there is no sign of this press conference happening.

Further news: we don't need to like each other to get things done.

I thought they were shouting you are going to die out. The implication being when us middle aged women die our cause will be over.
The irony when it is the young sterilising themselves in the name of gender identity ideology.

Those were my thoughts. I was genuinely taken aback that they didn't realise that we're actively agitating for young people to retain their fertility options.

SpindleInTheWind · 22/06/2022 09:26

Imagine being the sort of bloke who gets aroused by screaming at the symbolic manifestation of your own mum. I mean, that's fucking sad.
